Off to play hockey in the snow... Wish me luck

How does that work? Do you all need to pitch in and plow / push the snow off the field before you start?

Must have an interesting segue into ice hockey once in a bit, except perhaps if the ball keeps getting retarded by lumps of snow.

For those coming to Christchurch for dinner next month, there has been a 'slight' spanner thrown in the works:

Well that is just not good enough. And I'm not even going.
The Norwegian Star is getting towed back into Melbourne.

This has been an ongoing saga for several weeks. The demo shown in the atrium actually occurred weeks ago and the azipod issues started before Christmas. NCL first voyage into Australian waters has been handled awfully. Serves them right for palming off old ships onto the Aussie market thinking we wouldn't notice.

Marinetraffic shows its destination as Webb Dock; Port of Melbourne says Outer East Station Pier @ 2359.

That makes sense not to berth it at the 'tourist' pier when extensive repairs are required. It will limit media access as its a secure area.

The little bit of moisture meant it wasn't frozen over so OK to play. Got pretty heavy throughout the match. Survived and can now feel the tips of my fingers again...!

Rub it in why don't you

Don't worry - it's probably about 40 over there as well... just in Fahrenheit :)

Reckon most of Australia is over this one.

Could be a lot worse - try the same temperatures (and humidity) in most of Europe. They don't exactly make buildings over there - particularly apartments - to cope with the heat and improve airflow (rather the opposite). There's also little recognition of the concept of air conditioning, and that includes some public transport.

Watching the media it so clearly shows how Sydney centric it is. The Victorian fires were SO much worse in every sense of the definition yet they say it's NSW worst day?
