Spent an hour in an MRI machine today......reminded me of flying Jetstar Y in the middle seat ;)

Wow, that seems like a long time - I think mine last year was only about half that - unless it was a case of 'time flies when you're having fun'!

Hope your scan did not show anything untoward (luckily mine didn't.)

I thought the temperature in an electric oven was more stable? We used to have a gas oven but now have electric.

Gas ovens are very superseded these days, IMHO. A modern electric oven regulates to 1.5 C so is much better than a gas one. Gaggenau side opening ovens are excellent and you don't have to reach over the door to get to the door to get to the oven.

I like gas cooktops , wok burners, plus ceramic electric for backup if you've run out of gas. I like the induction ones as well but too late for our kitchen.

Bleeding Yahoo Mail is on the blink again.
I am going to sleep, but has anyone else have the error code 14/15 on trying to get to read mail at the moment?

In the most important news for 2017 the North Sydney Bears have made a bid to take over the Gold Coast Titans.
Go the mighty Bears!

Whilst on the subject of cricket, today is the 140th anniversary of the 1st test. It was held at the MCG on 15th March 1877 and Australia beat England by 45 runs

Bought a new suit today. First one in about 10 years I reckon. Tony Barlow outlet jobby. Down from $800 to $399. Managed to squeeze it down to $349.

Always nice to put on some new threads. Now to get rid of two surplus suits. Was thinking of donating them to Wear for Success but they don't seem to have a presence in WA.

I got rid of 13 suits when I moved house and did my big clean out. I can't believe I had that many!

13 does sound like a lot. I rarely have need to wear a suit, so having two seems about right for me.

It was more a case of never throwing things out (or not throwing out when I should have). Several of the older ones had clearly been shrunk by the dry cleaners...

When I started my "day job", I wore a suit every day to work. Over time the Australian corporate workplace has become a lot more relaxed, and I've become more comfortable dressing down.

I still own about 40 ties. Complete waste, I wear a suit & tie a handful of times per year, only when absolutely necessary (e.g. compulsory dress code, ceremonial occasions, etc). Usual work attire these days is tailored trousers (or chinos), and a clean pressed "business" shirt.

I'm developing a collection of ties. No idea why. Sometimes I like to wear one and sometimes it's the worst concept in the world.

I've just started a three week stretch of starting work at 3am. Pants and a polo shirt will do. Not even fussed if it's ironed, which today it is now.

All I'm concerned about at that time of day is maintaining verticality.
