Dr FM passed her Paeds written exam today. Mr FM and I got ourselves quite stressed waiting for the results which is ridiculous. It was her first attempt, so she could do it again, but as much as I tried to rationalise it, my body wouldn't take any notice.....Thank goodness it is over, although still the clinical to do.

Well done to her - hope the clinical is just as successful.
Can't help parents worrying :)

Younger son would get offended each time he drove as I'd say 'drive safe'. Then I pointed out I said the same to MrP and older son also.

Car broken down SYD international arrivals pickup. Should be an interesting couple of hours waiting NRMA. Not a good end to holiday.

Off for my chai latte, (with soy milk of course) and paleo breakfast at the local co-op. Then off to the hospital. I've got a copy of the "Socialist Worker" with me to while away the time whilst waiting for more xrays.

Is there an emoticon on here for 'tongue in cheek'? maybe this? :-J

Jeez, I wish some people on here would lighten up and not take everything so seriously! :)

I'm sorry to hear your news Bindibuys.

When mum died 12 months ago she was the last parent to go. Kinda puts the pressure on now - gulp. But it's the natural order of things I hope.

Having had both and now with a gas oven I prefer it because it heats and cools fairly quickly whereas the electric oven takes a long to heat up and then cool down.

The main difference I can see so far is that an electric oven goes much lower than a gas oven (50C vs 120C). Gas is faster to heat up.

We had a similar thing in our old house and could not find a 800mm oven. We ended up with a 800mm freestanding cooker and just had to get a cabinet maker to cut out where the benchtop and the cupboard for the oven had been. Far less expensive and sooo much better than a normal gas oven and the new gas cooktop was amazing.

Actually, good point of clarification - we will not be looking for an 800mm oven, but an 800mm freestanding stove.
