No internet, day #3.5.
Hubby phoned iinet Friday, who gave him a tech number to phone... but they only work Mon to Fri. Phone Tech, who said "Why are you calling us? Not our problem".
*sigh*
Why am I not at all surprised.

Phone iinet again, leave message. 1hr later they return call, say they are logging a call out with Telstra and give ref number. Phone Telstra with reference #, who tell us "Its not our problem and we are cancelling the call out. Phone inett to fix. "

Its going to be a long week getting this rubbish sorted out.

We don't have a BBQ :)

We've got one but its only been used about 3 times in 20yrs. Doubt I would allow my husband to use the gas bottle if he wanted to use it.

Got an innet email response saying internet should be fixed by 05/04/17 - hope thats not US date and I'll be waiting until May :). The email was signed by "Primadonna, Customer Service Representative"

What is up with VA pricing lately?
...

Those taxes are crazy.

The tax breakdown seems to suggest the majority of that is Fuel Surcharges.

If you try a Reward booking, you do not pay those and the total in the taxes decreases.

I haven't looked at SQ's website.

SQ about $800 cheaper for same dates.

I always check news.com.au to find out about happenings. Good grief. There has been a dreadful terrorist act in St Petersburg and the first few articles are to be blunt, BS trash. Reminds me of the old days and The Truth newspaper. Shame on them.

But a Kardashian is single again! Dont you need to know this ;)

There is a forum thread I follow elsewhere for updates on Trump, its more informative than actual news sites these days.

Doing a luggage cleanout. Donated 3 x 78cm luggage, 1 x large duffle trolley bag and 1 x cabin size to a local womens shelter support network.

These people often help a person who is in an abusive relationship pack & go with very little notice so hopefully the bags will help whoever uses them to take some essentials with them or help them move to a new home.

After sundown I always drive with the high beam on. (will dip for oncoming traffic, overtaking traffic, pedestrians)

And am a bit peeved that the current model VW golf with the bi-xenon headlights do not have a separate high beam light but a flap inside the light mechanism so the light is cast more like a high beam when required. I have since discovered that the bixenons are not actually 2 lightbulbs but only one but its "bi" because it does low and high functions. Would have preferred 2 separate light bulbs. Current headlights suggest there should be 2 on each side but on closer inspection the inside one is only a small LED which doesnt do anything constructive - I would not even call it a proper daytime light. I suppose the longevity of the bixenons is enhanced because the light is on all the time rather than on off

Reading the vehicle manual the headlight is called mainbeam light

If you're being interviewed and are asked a question, get to the key phrase which directly answers the question quickly. The more you tip-toe with drivel - no matter how relevant - before you get to the answer, the more you look like the behind of a donkey.

If your position is "spokesperson" for a particular cause or party, this should be elementary knowledge.

Delta gave both hubby and myself a voucher because our IFE wasn't working for a 9hr flight.....a whole $25.00 each.

Wonder what economy got?

More importantly, what to do with my $25 voucher, maybe I can donate them.

I am checking in with DL in a few hours and our baggage fees just happen to be 2x$25 ;)
