Costco US Culver City had the Infiniti range of massage chairs on display. The presenter had about 6 chairs in continuous use when we walked by so I tried it twice and each time my lower back pain disappeared.I think it might just take all those small aches out of my lower back.
With pricing Costco can be hard to beat.

i was going overseas some years ago on an extended trip and wanted to get the BAS done before I went and paid, as I would be coming back 2 weeks after the payment date. The way our business ran I was able to fill in and calculate moneys due from about the 15th onwards. This was pre being able to do it online, so I phoned up and asked if the form could be sent out a bit early. Had this entirely frustrating conversation which pretty much was no they couldn't send one out and in any case you couldn't fill it in that much before the end of the period. I then asked if I could have an extension so I could pay when I came back and it was no that wasn't allowed either get someone else to do it. When I explained that I was the only person in the business who could do it, she pretty much told me her parents were small busines people as well and they managed to cope so I should too! She told me to go away and be prepared to pay penalties!

Ironically the form actually turned up the day before we were due to leave, so all was well, but I was left amazed at how badly they treated someone who was just trying to do the right thing!

It's that kind of bs discussion that would lead me to write a letter of complaint to my local member (if important) or Treasurer. It was the telephone not being answered on multiple occasions ("we are too busy call back later") over a few weeks that led to my first complaint that was taken seriously by the upper levels as it is a case of the public servants taking the department into their own hands and trashing it and the upper levels have no idea it's happening.

I once wrote to the ATO about a change in my provisional tax payments. I wrote the letter in December and a very nice woman rang me about it......in June.

I once placed a Bunnings special order... In 2001. Still waiting. :)

Rainy weather, broke out the slow cooker for beef minestrone soup today.

Wow Perth has almost caught up to you folks with your time reversal overnight. Don't forget us.....we are temporarily funding your part of the country with many billions of our GST revenues we pay.It may add up to 30 billion dollars this decade so we will be wanting that money back with interest.

They key word is temporarily. Re getting the money back it is typical of Sandgropers to forget that for the first hundred years of Federation you were subsidised to the tune of many, many billions of dollars.

I predict that in a few years time when WA is again a net beneficiary of the Eastern states financial aid the current whinges will be still be referred to with demands for even more money.

And Victoria is any different with its demands for more money?

Well Victoria is 25% of the total population yet only receives 8% of the infrastructure spending. Considering the east coast probably have [-]pork-barrelled[/-] funded WA to the tune of hundreds of Billions of dollars since Federation if you factor in interest.

A tiny consolation is that Telstra will give you a credit on your account for the days you are without phone/internet. When our cable was down for a couple days we got back $30 or something. Paid for the new remote we needed (although after 5 years or whatever I'm not sure why that wasn't free...)

You need to be tougher than that - I usually ask for compensation for data on my ipad and they usually give me $100 or $200 on that - you need to be polite but persistent

When the cuts come Victoria will notice it. This past decade WA paid over 39 billion to the rest of Australia and Victoria received the biggest amount. Our share in WAs GST is 34.4% this year.
Shut down the power station, the smelter and the car manufacturing...you will notice this some time in the future.
Lucky you have some sports tourism.

Well there is also Crown Casino.
The way to get more GST is to turn the State into a basket case. Jay will tell you.

Less baseload power - via AEMO force NSW to send coal electricity your way.
Less industry? no problems more GST will be sent your way to compensate.

So sad and so true.

18 days to go.
we did 4 weeks of travelling around Japan by rail in 1985 - really loved it. People were so friendly and helpful in the more remote areas, less so in the "tourist belt" around Kyoto and Hiroshima. In Nagasaki we were trying to find our way to the peace park and it was pouring rain. A guy in a van stopped, gave us an umbrella and drove away! Have a lovely time :).

Thanks FM. It's still a couple weeks away so got a bit to do planning wise. We are keeping it relatively simple. I'll put something in the TR thread a couple days out, with more detailed info on where we're off too, how we're getting there, and some of our planned activities.

And I am very very jealous GarretM even though I am off in a few days. Just enjoy Japan so much (and we do have bookings for the end of this year but that's beside the point :)). Can't wait to read your TR.
