Looking at a 1h10 connection in HKG on different PNRs/airlines. Alternative is 4h25, but the flow on means an extra day travelling. Decisions, decisions.

Potentially too short unless you can guarantee the through check of bags and the issuing of boarding passes before arrival in HKG. Even with through-checked bags and a boarding pass, a 30 minute delay on the inbound will present problems.

Reminds me of our 90 min connection in HKG last October. ADL-HKG-PEK with checked through baggage and effectively same airline (i.e. CX and KA). With 30 min of the 90 remaining we were still on the first a/c.

They said don't worry as there are a bunch of you and we'll escort you through. Great except we arrived at gate 70 and needed to be at gate 24 and my marathon training was lacking. Despite security being in go slow we managed and the 2nd flight actually pushed back 4 min early but I certainly don't recommend it.

Just checked in at Siem Reap to fly Silkair to Singapore. We were asked if Singapore was our final destination, explained we were going to Oz tonight on Qantas, and our bags were checked through to Brisbane, how good is that. Very happy. :)

Oh and Full service qantas can't do it?. Gimme a break!

Logo!!
...

You must mean Lego. :) But it does make a good logo for the festival, too.

There would probably be a smattering of people here who have used a computer with the LOGO language (i.e. with the moving turtle). It's actually used in contemporary classrooms for programming as well.

Silkair is a full service carrier.

Also, for 95% of refused cases, it's not that they can't do it, but they won't do it.

.... and my marathon training was lacking.....

I remember arriving at LAX and asking to be bumped to an earlier Seattle flight, thinking the flight in 2.5hrs time, not the flight in 40min times at a different terminal.

Apparently I can run, if I absolutely have to. Have not run since.

.

Silk Air always reminds me of being the slightly poorer cousin to SQ. The FAs are just not as polished, confident as a SQ girl. They try very hard but they fall short a little bit.

My first Silk Air flight was the only flight Ive been on that I wouldnt have been surprised if someone started caryying chickens down the aisle and the food was terrible. Thankfully, they have only gone up since then.

Good Luck!

We've got a 35min BJX-MEX-VSA coming up .... right on the MCT however, same PNR/airline.

A friend arrived SIN CX to connect with SQ, separate PNRs. SQ were more than happy to find her bag and check it on to the next flight to save her going through immigration.

Good Luck!

I am looking at plans B, C and D as I reckon that is just tempting fate too much.

The creator of the begonia is well known to a few AFFers:

The Brickman

I am going to his exhibition next week.

Thats exciting.

A friend of ours loves his lego but when he was in europe a couple of years ago, he didnt go to the factory because his girlfriend didnt want to go. They have tours or workshops at set times during the year. Sad that he didnt take the opportunity to enjoy something that he regrets missing.

The Lego show is awesome... I have to the show in BNE twice and each time there is different stuff to see... Brickman does a awesome job

Back home and the Cruiseco magazine was waiting.Later this year a UK rock cruise with some of those I followed in the 60s.Suzie Quatro, the Troggs, the Animals and Manfred man.
I must have taken note of this song as I do nearly everything she wants me to-

But this was one of my favourites by the Troggs-

And most young fellows at Uni in the 60s enjoyed this one by the animals-

I love LEGO but I also used to program LOGO at school. This was back in the day where the school had 5 computers for student use and we got to use them for one class per week. Each maths class had over 30 students so it took ages to get a turn at the computer.
