Well.:) Please keep us in suspense for another few days! :) :)

Ha, I'm sure my laptop woes are not high on everyones list :p
Toshiba told me it was out of warranty, I told them ACCC said that less than 2 years is not reasonable, so they have asked me to take it in to an authorised repairer. If its a "manufacturer fault" it will be fixed for free but if they think I'm at fault I am expected to pay. Hopefully shutting the lid on a laptop is not considered "at fault"

Depends. Do you use your left hand or right to shut the lid? Im sure its in the fine print somewhere ;)

Good luck!

Well we are flying out tonight so figured I'd do some due diligence ths week and make sure everything is as squared away as it can be with our mortgage finance and settlement agent.
Settlement agent and I were back and forth via email and eventually sortd ourselves out. She's really quite good.

But.

Mortgage broker has just told me our conditional approval has expired, and we need to re-apply. Not sure when I would have been told this if I hadn't reached out to him first. Pretty unimpressed. Now we have to quickly go through the forms again this afternoon to restart the process. He tells me the bank have agreed to fast-track it so as not to disrupt our timeline. I remain dubious.

As Fremantle Dockers coach Ross Lyon might say, "it's not ideal".

.....Mortgage broker has just told me our conditional approval has expired, ....

I have no idea what this means.

There is a Mortgage for Dummies type show on TV and my husband looked at the commercial and rolled his eyes. Me: Dont to that, thats for people like me that dont have a clue!

Conditional approval lasts for 90 days, by which in theory I guess most people have either moved to proper approval or gone in another direction.
A couple of weeks ago we were told all was rosey, but today we learnt the lender had "expired" us, but without telling our broker.
Ergo.... displeasure.
Evidently the lender will compensate us with double the FF points they'd usually supply. A tiny consolation.

But if anything goes wrong while we're O/S we won't be able to salvage it. C'est la vie.

Enjoy your trip GarrettM. Lucky you are based in Perth so you have 2 extra hours to get it set.

Who else heard Hendo's opening comments on Ch 2 news tonight in MEL? Re Serena's pregnancy I quote - 'And it's game set and hatch - Serena Williams confirms she is pregnant' - well it tickled my fancy anyway.

Donald Trump held a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni at the White House today. During the presser, Trump referred to famed tenor Luciano Pavarotti as “a good friend of mine”.

Only problem…Pavarotti died 10 years ago.[/FONT]

Flat-Earthism has lately been making a comeback and spreading like bush fire through social media.

I'm generally not someone who worries about which table I sit at in a hotel restaurant, but once you've been seated by staff and they have opened a cheque on the table, generally you can assume it is "yours" for the duration of the meal...

That is until Mainlanders show up and walk past the "wait to be seated" sign and sit on your table when you're up at the buffet.

Did you join them?

Who was your broker? We had something similar happen about 12 months ago so know exactly what you are going through.
