Debt doesn’t sound good. What are the conditions on the vouchers, etc?
I don't have them with me but need to be used soon on QF services.

At latest calculation If I leave Brisbane Friday 1st October and return Monday 11th October I only need 5 days annual leave, get to play 7-8 games of golf with a projected spend of ~AUD3,000 less value of vouchers. It is only money and it is not going to be buried with me. I shouldn't let debt stop me from doing the things I enjoying doing the most. I am stressed enough as it is so any holiday can only be good for my health....

Today I brought a Toshiba NB300 Netbook with Microsoft Student/teacher edition. Not the cheapest but the battery life is good; 8 to 10 hours; no I am not posting on the netbook just yet, needs to be set up first.

These adverts suck I am so used to not seeing adverts; some are interesting to read so as soon as the novelty wears off I will back to Gold membership on AFF.

You know the other problem is the 25 PM(private message) limit; I can go through about 5 a week; I think I went through about 5 today; 3 sent 2 receive; so that part of no cost membership is annoying; normally I get to about 100 then do a mass deletion. It is sort of like filing at the end of the year and you go through your PMs for the year; read them see what you planned to do; and what you actually did.

Easy solution. Don't have any friends on AFF like me and then you may get a PM once in a blue moon sent in error. :p

I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t save yourself $15 and get Silver membership, as the extra benefits of Gold you’re mostly not going to use anyway!

I was flying Cathay into HKG today. Breaking from tradition, I had assigned myself a window seat as nothing free forward was an aisle.

Plane was a 772 - so 3x3x3 seating in Y.

Of course it's the day that I get welcomed by both the CSS and CSM (or whatever the Cathay equivalent is) on the flight - versus the usual welcome from only one of them.

The two pax next to me looked at me a little strangely when the CSM leaned over to welcome me onboard, ask me if I wanted a blanket or anything else, and of course ignored them. If that wasn't bad enough, about 10 mins later, the CSS does the same routine !

I got a laugh out of it.

Ahh the benefits of status.

Did your fellow passengers not ask for an autograph? :p

That must be the award you booked using QFF points. Are the status runs over already?
