Poppies....of the opium variety :lol::oops:

Thought they only place they were grown out in public was Afghanistan :shock:

Actually, it's 15 minutes until we buy our staff their favourite drink (only one staff member stilll here - she a R&C drinker), so your idea has merit :idea:.

Mmmmmm, James Boag's Premium Light is going down well now

Does that explain your post in the FAs thread? (hint: 'F' here does not stand for 'flight' ;))

It was a good read, however! Dare I say 'keep the stories coming' except that Vicky probably would not approve that at all!

Not sure if anyone saw this get posted on FT.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/communitybuzz/1048364-10th-annual-brooklyn-reality-tour-saturday-june-12-2010-a.html

  1. dhammer53 Brooklyn Reality Tour - Sat. June 12, 2010.
  2. Announcing the 10th (and last) annual dhammer53 Brooklyn Reality Tour aka BRT.
  3. The first 9 Brooklyn Tours were sellouts. BRT 4 - 7 I rented an airport type shuttle van. Last year we had a 50 passenger coach bus. We split the cost. The cost will be about $49. per person based on a full bus of 50 passengers. Once again, the tour will include a limited edition, dare I say, collectible cap.

More fool me for not looking at the next page :oops:.Yes these are opium poppies.I believe over a 1000 hectares of them here and it is definitely all legal.there was a paddock of dairy cows next to this crop.Couldn't help wondering what would happen if one put her head over the fence and had a nibble-might make an interesting milkshake.:shock:

About time!!! *sips Little Creatures Golden Ale, with a bottle of chardy chilling in the fridge* :D

So can anyone recognise one of the major cash crops of the devonport area-
I could have sworn they were cotton plants but obviously I was wrong. I should know what opium poppies look like as I used to see them in the mountains in Northern Greece where I grew up....
