one of our dogs weighs slightly over 4kg, but she is the pack leader. She whipped my daughter's Beagles into submission when they were puppies and now they give into her on everything when they come to stay, even bones.

The two arent too different in size, but Daisy is quite solid at 8kg. The other dog is a Jack Russell x Maltese. Daisy is usually the boss and theyre pretty equal in the squabble but the other dog is good with the teeth (she also bites people.....)

might need a dog whisperer to do some training before starting a family. :). Our first dogs really hated Dr FM when she arrived and we had a few issues. Once she was walking and they realised she was a) human and b) a constant source of snacks (some involuntarily), they changed their attitude.

The beagles weigh in at roughly 14kg, so a big difference, but our mini dachshund doesn't seem to realise it :)

How is the poor Miss Daisy today? On the mend I hope. Was the other dog yours as well (sorry her name escapes me - starts with L?) or one visiting? Size seems to have little to do with who becomes boss. We once had an Australian terrier and one of the funniest things we ever saw was him chasing a borzoi down the street.
Our dog used to bite the vet!

Our Pushka drew Vet blood frequently. I'd warn them. They'd say 'we know how to handle cats.' Ha. I just stood by with popcorn.

No not Lola. She's more a cough cat than a dog. Daisy was looking good this morning; were at the airport now so mums in charge for the weekend.

I was just at a work Friday arvo drinks and they had no beer (well xx_X but...) so I tried a cider. Man that stuff is sweet! How does anyone drink it and not get diabetes? I haven't had cider since I was about 20. Are there better varieties out there?

Yes there is. What was it?

Glad she is ok and it was not your other dog. Once 2 coughes start that sort of niggling then it takes a lot of careful management and advice to manage them including separating them. I'd never run 2 coughes together! And would take a dog over a cough any day!
