Wife says I'm not romantic. She's probably right.

Have taken wife and daughter to early Mothers Day lunch at Four Winds revolving restaurant. Lovely views. Had dinner here with wife 2 years ago but the daytime views much better.

It's official. Pierce Brosnan can't sing.

I know, I am late to the Mamma Mia party.

Oh dear, Pierce...

There was a time when the studios would overdub even the biggest stars.

Not any more, it seems.

Audrey Hepburn did a pretty good job of ""Wouldn't It Be Loverly"". But not good enough for the studios at that time. And Marni Nixon made something of career out of it!

Never saw Mama Mia, Footloose, Ghost Busters, Dirty Dancing plus many others. If people scream at me that it's a MUST SEE, the hype turns me off.

Saw a preview for Dunkirk today, don't mind a good war drama because they move me. Makes me think of how the human spirit seemed stronger back then. Although I'm usually crying throughout the whole thing.

Mamma Mia the stage play and Mamma Mia the movie, to me, had very different vibes.

Same story and songs.

But it worked a lot better - no hugely better - on stage, IMO.

But regardless of all that, Pierce can't sing! :)

I haven't seen Titanic. All I need to know is the ship sinks. Someone I know saw it 4 times at the cinemas during its year run. He saw it with 4 different women...

Some movies seem to have aphrodisiac qualities for some people ... "Titanic" is one ... "Pretty Woman" is another.

Also had to pretend it was the first time he had seen it the second, third and fourth times.

I saw an illegal pirated copy of Titanic when it first came out, still felt ripped off and would love to have those 2 hours of my life back. :D

Mrsdrron took me to see Funny Girl 3 or 4 times but I still haven't seen the full movie.Went to sleep every time.

I say the same about Mr FM. :) I had a next door neighbour whose husband gave her fabulous cards and always took her out for romantic dates on Valentine's Day etc. I was horribly envious until he pointed out my neighbours husband worked really long hours and wasn't around a lot of the time, whereas he did all the cooking, worked from home and did equal shares of child rearing (including school canteen, playgroup etc). He said I could have one or the other. I decided to give up on the romantic gestures. :).

LOL!

I haven't seen the movie but saw the stage production for the first time ever in London last year. That was the first production in London since Barbra Streisand herself performed in it!

I doubt anyone would/could have slept through it - but, "People", I could be wrong!

My husband isn't romantic, doesn't buy me flowers but I was doing my nightly walk and it started to rain (didn't have my phone) and he came looking for me on foot, with an umbrella.

Then one and only time he bought me flowers, they were chrysanthemums, which are Italian funeral flowers and I wouldn't let them inside the hous and they stayed outside.
