Take your Soda-Stream with you. That way you can save money by making your own champagne.

Thats Champaine, Darling.

And talking about Klassy, the Kardashians are always good for resetting the bar lower.

What sort of island, big (Okinawa, beaches, diving and military) or small (Miyajima, train and ferry ride from Hiroshima)? What was the attraction to the island?

I can't remember those helpful details!!

At least two AFFers have been there - I think the TR included a family with 2-3 kids travelling. The ryokan was quite traditional, very expensive, and the family had their dinner there. There was some catering to or finding suitable items for the children who were maybe no super keen on traditional Japanese meal.

The attraction for me was the traditional ryokan. I want a break from western-ish hotels.

Traditional ryokans are everywhere, especially Kyoto, and most of the stay is about the food so they almost universally do dinner.

That feeling when you're travelling for six months and you book a beautiful self contained cottage that is spotless, well equipped, has a proper shower that you can walk around in and a washing machine and outside line and the sun is shining and your clothes are all clean and dry and I'm in Wales - going up Mt Snowdon today.

The lady at the supermarket yesterday was chatting to me and she asked what I was doing and I said I was going up Mt Snowdon and she said "By yourself that's very brave" and I said I'm going on the train and she said Oh I normally walk up!!

Ms China in front of me at the Money Changers in BKK.She is very annoyed and cranky that she cannot buy US dollars at the quoted buy price.
"But it says I can buy $US100 for 33.5 baht."
Sorry but I broke down and LMAO as did the Brit behind me.

This is Boris. Boris is currently lying on a lounge in the Adults Solarium pool area on Celebrity Silhouette. Thankfully Boris is not wearing speedos. But Boris does enjoy watching sport on his phone and thinks we all do too as his phone is on high volume as he watches and Boris does not like earphones.

Anyone fixed a non draining dishwasher?
Have a fisher & paykel 920 that flooded and have cleared water, cleared code via tilt. Now not draining after fast wash or rinse?
Drain motor makes noise but waste proper pipe not.
Trying to work access to drain pump? To check if clogged. Should try bicarbonate??????

I would just buy a new one. Bi carb, water, confined space and pipes sounds like a bad idea.

Something to do with getting together every morning for 15 minutes listening to what everyone else is working on and that will motivate you to be productive and ensure project is on time.

Not sure what ever happened to just getting to work and doing your work but management feels we need time wasting gimmicks to perform better.

we tried all those things with ours... nothing worked. In the end the technician replaced a seal which had disintegrated over time. Once the seal was whole the suction worked and dishwasher drained.

Unplug the outlet pipe and put it into an empty bucket and see if water flows.

I assume the filters have been cleaned?

If water flowing well when outlet "unplugged" - one trick we (ie. the plumber @ $225) found was the under-sink outlet where the machine hose pipe plugs in hadn't been "bored" properly by whomever originally installed the kitchen (prior to us moving in) and it had become clagged up. Easy to "rebore" with a drill. Apparently it's a quite common problem.

A stray dog killed our chickens this morning. Dog was caught a few doors up by Council. $220 fine to owner who allowed their entire male staffy to wonder the streets. Meanwhile, I have to tell the children that their pets are dead, clean 'the slaughterhouse', and buy more chickens.

Any ideas on how to value chickens and if its its worth chasing the dog owner for compensation?
