Looks like no guiness on tap at the Mill for St Patricks Day although there will be green beer. Up to you but if you want some Guiness on tap then best get to one of the city pubs a little earlier....

This year the plan is for me to be in Dublin on St Patrick's day. Flights + accom are booked... Been a few years since I've been to the Emerald Isle, and this time I'm making the effort to get up to Belfast as well.

Only a quick trip (4 days), and the train between Dublin and Belfast is yet to be booked, but of course it could be canned due to work prospects... if they ever occur! ;)

But not in HK just yet :(.

Only ~3pm here ... the afternoon in Birmingham is just beginning (although I do have to head back to London at some stage tonight!)... unless of course I choose to stay overnight - it might happen.

Now where are those pieces of cardboard and other assorted paper? ;)

Finally got home… trains were full thanks the the 2 music concerts in BNE today, so had to catch a later one as the thought of squashing in amongst some teenagers wasn’t as appealing as it sounds.

It’s 2. I’m worn out and drinking water before bed.

.... Mmmm and maybe it is my time line that's wrong. The time stamp on my last post says 10:34 and it really was 8:40 :?:

What clock are you using as the time stamp on the post says 3:58 which does not line up with either Eastern Oz time or Qld time :!:

My timestamp for his post shows 1:58, and my AFF clock is set to GMT+10 (Brisbane) time...

Mal,

the time stamp on your post says 10:39 am from this end.

....... I am in Bne though so the clocks could be confused:!:

Yeah, sounds like when you went to Brisbane you changed the time on your computer instead of adjusting the Time Zone.

If you double click the clock, what Timezone and time is it showing?

Old people and technology. :p

Some of us had to work hard to control serfty, JohnK and a few others :!:

Serfty was quieter this year than last.

Samh004 and Johnk were having a good chat that was hard to follow on the way from the airport to The Mill.

Hope you all enjoyed the BNE meeting. Sounds like much "fun" was had by all.

Don't you hate it when work gets in the way; sorry to have missed you and I hope you can catch up with us all next year.

I was using my iPhone and it did it all automatically.

Keep that up and you will never get to be as old as I am now let alone any older :!:

Funny enough the clock on my laptop is set to both Qld time and NSW time and my AFF settings are for Sydney. When I use AFF sometimes I see NSW times and sometimes I see Qld time. Very confusing.

Umfortunately this is one of the pieces of information that was lost during the HDD cleanup overnight. ;)

By the way it would appear that the second Hilton booking has not been confirmed as I only see the first booking in my reservations. Can you check your credit card?

I will look again tomorrow and if I do not see the reservation then I will make the second booking again. I will call you for credit card details.

I was using my iPhone and it did it all automatically.
Ahh. That explains it....

Yes sir; I will go back into my box now and shut up.

Yep will have a look tomorrow; thanks for the update.

Crocodiles in Burrill Lake? Barbed Wire fence? And you've claimed that Burrill Lake is a pretty quiet place previously.

I wish we had crocodiles and barbed wire at Burrill Lake. It would liven up the town immensely. I got odd looks for going to the store in my pj's to buy milk, yet if I went in my bikini it would be considered normal. The town is so backward my wireless internet hasn't worked for a few days, although I am currently online in Sydney.

I was overseas when I was dodging crocodiles and leaping barbed wire fences.

Thought you were PC based, rather than iPhone based ...Another Apple convert ;)

I think what has happened is that the iPhone has picked up incorrect settings from the phone network as to the correct timezone, or you've changed the time but not the timezone when you came to Queensland.

Can't really help further, but check the timezone is ok.

One of the iPhone Fanatics (plenty of them here!) should be able to help if required.

Does anyone else find it funny that there is a "naturalists" beach in Sydney that is visible from "Bare Island" ?

(... was reading a news article. I see NSW still has no tolerance for that lifestyle).

-- edit : Actually, they do - but only on some gazetted beaches.
