Not all sports fans. You can't say that Australian sport fans aren't passionate.

Netball maybe.
Can you tease out those statistics? Probably more kids play soccer at school. But that might change now girls can have a career in Aussie Rules. It would be interesting to look at the statistics of adults playing soccer versus AFL. Given all the local Australian Rules footy clubs where adults play, the numbers playing may change. I don't know any of son's friends who played soccer. All of them played Aussie rules. Some played Rugby Union. None played league.
(PS GarretM. While I don't like rugby league it's nothing against those who do. As long as I don't have to watch it. No need to take it so seriously. I sure as heck don't. It's a joke Joyce)
Using Dr Google to figure out why Ive had this dry cough for the past 2 or 3 months. I can almost stop myself from coughing but otherwise, its every hour or so. Drives me nuts. I dont smoke, havent been sick, staying hydrated, never had asthma and its most noticeable during the day because of air con and at night because of temperature changes (we dont use aircon at home).
Dr Google hasnt declared me dead or dying yet so thats always a plus when using it.
Edit: I take it back, I just got to the Mayo website for Dr Google Dead or Dying....
Here you go, straight from the Australian Sports Commission

Is it just me? How can a modern US (or any other) warship 'accidentally' be in a collision with a merchant vessel? Especially two different vessels in two months leading to very unfortunate loss of life of the navy personnel?
Actually the 4th collision apparently but second with multiple fatalities.
Does make you wonder whether another country renowned for its cyber warfare capabilities may be testing out its latest upgrade...
If it was such a cause, and extremely sophisticated (almost by definition) then it could make it appear as human error despite the respective on-watch crew swearing there were no warnings nor radar returns. What Military tribunal would believe them if there was no apparent other (publicly disclosable) explanation.

The way the Matildas are playing my guess is there will be a lot more women taking up football-

If you weren't able to see one of the most anticipated and unifying events this country has witnessed in nearly a hundred years, don't worry. You won't have to wait an entire century until the next one -- just seven years. Another total solar eclipse will be visible in the United States on April 8, 2024.
LOL. In peacetime, I can't see any excuse for a warship taking on a tanker...
Man ( or woman) on bridge with eyes or binoculars? Too much of a stretch? Maybe they were all watching GOTs!
PS: I read that the new British aircraft carrier is all controlled by modern computer systems using Windows XP.
I vaguely recall the total eclipse. Think I was still in primary school. Perhaps 1974 or 1976.There was a total eclipse here in the '70's. It was a weekend and MrP was playing cricket. It went completely dark and they had to stop playing for a while. The eerie thing was the quietness as the birds went quiet.

Interesting discussion with Bankwest.
- Statement issued 09/06/17 paid 13/06/17
- Statement issued 11/07/17 paid 11/07/17
- Statement issued 10/08/17 due on 04/09/17 with $25 late payment fee
This is the first time in living memory a statement has been closed off on the 11th. That makes June/July statement 32 days. I was overseas and made the payment on 11/07/17 but Bankwest include it in the previous month even though it's supposed to be in the next month.
20+ minute phone call going around in circles. Outcome is they will reverse the late payment fee and I'm closing the account.

I find customer service staff very inflexible following a script. Initially they were saying I've been behind 3 months. I cleared account in May and did a balance transfer and they applying payment in June to tge May statement. :shock:Yeah, they called the fee the wrong name Should have been $25 early payment fee
