Good to see you ended up saving 31 cents.I found the shoe laces, $1.69 for two pair. Definitely worth looking for and not worth the original $3 quoted for one pair.
Matter of principle not to overpay for any goods or services. So your hourly rate at work is? Don't want to know but reckon it's one way of working out the true value of hunting around for such stuff.

Life and health override princliples. We'll see how your "matters of principle" stack up when someone's health or life is at stake.
One thing I've learned is that arguing and acting purely on principle may not be the most productive approach. Principles are important but not absolute.
That we don't know. There are many clues that we have done this before but that's for another discussion.JohnK just remember that life is not a dress rehearsal.
Using Dr Google to figure out why Ive had this dry cough for the past 2 or 3 months. I can almost stop myself from coughing but otherwise, its every hour or so. Drives me nuts. I dont smoke, havent been sick, staying hydrated, never had asthma and its most noticeable during the day because of air con and at night because of temperature changes (we dont use aircon at home).
Dr Google hasnt declared me dead or dying yet so thats always a plus when using it.
Edit: I take it back, I just got to the Mayo website for Dr Google Dead or Dying....
My risk management strategy is to cover both bases and not rely on something I know, which is the current. That we don't know. There are many clues that we have done this before but that's for another discussion.

A couple of weeks ago GP mentioned that it would be a good idea to do a gastroscopy. I haven't done one in 10 years. I don't have a specialist. From memory last time it cost a fair amount even with private cover. I'm going to try and get on the public waitlist.
I hate over paying for things no matter how trivial it sounds to others.

And who says I don't enjoy life regardless of the curve balls?I didn't see a white light JohnK so I intend enjoying this life with friends and rellies.
I'm not covering any bases. I go by my experiences. I almost died twice. That's enough for me.My risk management strategy is to cover both bases and not rely on something I know, which is the current.
Wouldn't it be nice if everyone contributed the same? It's a shame some people get away with not paying enough tax.You wouldn't be 'overpaying' by having your own specialist do it. its just that if you go onto the public waitlist you are 'underpaying' because the taxpayers are subsidising you more.
