Dunno, It sounds like its not going to be as bad as originally thought. Cat 5 now Cat 4. Though Florida is mainly low lying and flooding/storm surges will be the main issue now rather than destructive winds. My friend in Florida says her power just went out and they are bunkered in their safe room.
I still think they should have evacuated. They live right on the water.

Lots of alligators in that part of of the world and will they be wandering with the flood waters?? Scary thought
The news media are milking it for all it's worth. Multiple TV crews dotted all over the panhandle state while telling everyone to get out.

I wonder if Trump's Mar Largo resort will be Ok?. If so maybe some Florida residents can get free Acom there!!

Well we know he won't be offering relief to the Earthquake victims of Mexico.
Lovely spring day here today so went for a stroll around the lake in aid of kidney health - the Big Red Kidney Walk. There was quite a low turn out and fundraising for the event for all of Australia was less than $200,000. Discussions over coffee with a friend's son who has a transplanted kidney highlighted just how far under the radar this area of health is. It needs to get a much higher media presence to ensure greater funding by the look of it. Nonetheless it was a lovely day for a walk.
It's not sexy enough and It's not pink enough.
I keep telling people that more people die of prostrate cancer than breast cancer.
If we unilaterally recalibrated all events and their funding for the respective cancer research to reflect the relative death rates of the respective causes, I wonder what that would look like?
I saw that fact you keep telling people on an ad above a men's urinal in a public toilet. I don't know whether it means more people die from prostate cancer over breast cancer, or a greater percentage of men die from prostate cancer over those women who die from breast cancer.
If I recall correctly, Movember is a whole month dedicated to men's health, including prostate cancer awareness? I think October is breast cancer awareness month, but as far as I can tell the hype seems to be confined to a day or a week. Also, I've noticed more heart posts on Facebook recently.
Which cancer is easier for the person to take preventative steps? (Not implying anything - I am curious)
