Just wondering if the crowd will boo James Hird when he presents the medal for best player. Stupid decision.

A good choice; former Norm Smith medallist and former great. Reconciliation is always good. Doubt there would have been Tigers fans booing - not when St Dusty was about to get another gong.

I did wonder that. But I reckon all the crows supporters would have been shocked into silence. Just not sure why the AFL risked the worthiness of the Medal in picking him. So many others to choose who don’t have a blemish. I was a complete James Hird fan until I heard more behind the scenes. I think it was a poor choice.

We had to deploy the fire blanket today and after we saved the house, we realised we saved the house! We could have used insurance for the rebuild.

On the plus side, the fried chicken was saved.

So you're saying you should have just walked out?

But did they honour the anniversary of other players? I don’t think so. There’s gonna be a huge queue.

Its not so much an anniversary, but past winners present the new winner, in turn.

The league, since 2004, has used the order of the Norm Smith medallists to determine who should be the presenter, with Shannon Grant — the 1999 winner — given the honour at last year's grand final.

I am going on a lettuce and water diet for the next month :D I am in the process of cleaning out cupboards while Ron is in Tassie, I have started with my walk-in, today I threw out 30 skirts :( :( :( they just don't fit anymore  tomorrow its the dresses rack !!

Mere male question - WARNING WARNING -

If you are going on a diet for a month (MM being an optimist) is there not the risk that some or all of the 30 may fit in one month's time?

OR is it all part of a conspiracy to rack up more points for flying by having to replace them once you've succeeded in 30 days?

In medicine we do tend to use big words when a shorter one is better.
Above the microwave here at work are guidelines as to when you can rethermalise your meal.o_O:rolleyes:

?

I think those 30 wouldn't fit even if I stayed on the diet for 6 months ! This giving up wine for a month is getting a bit hard and its only been a week !

Yes they did. Hird was the 2000 winner, last year the 1999 winner presented it and the year before that it was the 1998 winner.
