There were literally many many thousands of pumpkins for sale all across New England early in the month.
I was quite puzzled until we found a few homes all done up with witch and broomstick displays.
I wonder just how many pumpkins are sold for Halloween across the US….quite a little industry..

My monthly Medibank premium was $107.10/month. I prepaid $800 on 29 March which should be 7 months + $50.30 credit. Also the $50.30 needs to be applied as a percentage of the month at the old rate not a deduction off current premium.

My new premium is $113.45 and the bill for current month is $107.60! I've called and escalated and received a reply that my payments have been applied at old premium. Clearly they haven't. You do the maths.

I've sent them a reply telling them I owe them $60.16 for current month and to fix up their records.

Me to husband: Did you buy chocolates for tomorrow?

Him: Yes, I bought blah blah blah and two packets of turkish delights.

Me: I dont think kids like turkish delights.

Him: Thats my plan.

And we wondered why there were drops of water falling underneath our verandah.
Almost 3 hours later and we still have this!

Looking around it’s like we have our own little winter wonderland. No other roof has this. Kind of ironic for those who know me.

We just got hail in Melbourne, but it's all melted now.

I've been kiwied.Relative ringing from NZ said"has she got a lure in her hand?"
I was almost going to say she is 93 so hasn't been fishing.Turns out in her part of NZ it means an IV cannula.

Those pumpkins at my local aussie coles are way too expensive.
Totally. The very first year I almost bought one thinking $2.99 was good. Nup. That was per kilo and they way weigh a lot! (good grief)

I made the snowman about 2 hours after the storm! Thats unheard of in Adelaide - it normally melts straightway. Given it was 35 on Saturday and maybe 32 yesterday......and we had several bushfires as well!

It's 30C in BNE, and I'm finding it hard to think about what to pack tonight for the new few days in Santa Clara (temps of 10-20C) and then a few days in Portland, OR (temps of 1-10C ). Maybe I'll turn the air con in the bedroom down really low to help me?? ;)

Without going down the political discussion path was there anything written about how many former PMs or high ranking pollies would have failed the citizenship test that brought down Barnaby and co? I find it hard to believe that significant percentage of pollies weren't in a similar situation but probably didn't know and no one did the digging. I googled but couldn't find anything insightful.

Possibly derived from "luer" syringe connection?
