There was a story that he was under consideration to be 'drafted' as PM but I recall that got debunked.

That is a rumour that has been denied many times.
However until 1949 Aussies and Kiwis were UK citizens.There were no Aussie or Kiwi citizens.Which meant anyone born in a British Empire country could be a member of the Australian Parliament.It was not the intention of those who wrote the Constitution to deny Kiwis or Canadians the right to be a Member of Parliament.And in the States they still can be.

Yes, it's not a problem. Just go and put yourself on the electoral roll here. You can vote in Australian elections also by postal vote or by swinging by Australia House on the Strand. I don't know whether UK citizens resident in Australia can vote in local elections though.

You can be a citizen of a foreign country and still sit in the UK parliament.

I believe if they arrived in Australia prior to 1986 they can. Post that date you have to be an Australian citizen

My niece is in same situation. Been going crazy writing grant applications. Sleep disorders seem to be an ‘in thing’ currently so hopefully ok.
