Halloween finiahed here. Kids visiting from around 4:30 to 7:30.

Live in inner west Sydney and high proportion of families live in the area. Rules are if you put up decorations kids will stop and trick or treat and take "one treat only".
Rigidly enforced by parent supervisors.

Some fantastic costumes and a lot of fun, real community atmosphere with a lot of kids and parents from local school so it's good to catch up.

Reckon a couple of hundred kids came to the house.

You can mock it as an American thing or embrace it and turn it Australian, which is what happens here.

I can tell you the kids (and the parents) had a ball.

Inner West here too and there were lots of kids out in my suburb - there was a block of about 5 houses just up the street all decorated and that seemed to be the central point for the kids and parents. Seemed like a fun evening for all involved.

So did you have a good time with the rally cars??:)

Certainly did, great weather for this time of the year at Sweet Lamb on Friday, blue sky, unheard of in that part of Wales,, very little rain, just some drizzle on the other days and to top it off, M-Sport drivers won the rally, the drivers championship and the constructors championship.
Coffs Harbour next month will still be worth visiting. Maybe it will be a Ford/M-Sport 4 from four for me this year.

This is why I hate doing hampers for some people. I get asked for a Christmas hamper for school A, I get permission and provide. Then I find out via facebook that hamper did not go to school A but to a social group that person is associated with. Different group wont even raffle the hamper off until next year so they are just going to hoard it?

Typed and deleted a number of texts last night, still havent addressed the issue.

Glad I didn't get any one knocking on my door although heard some noise outside.
About 2 years ago a note with a streamer was put in a letterbox saying that they are doing trick or treating for Halloween and if you want to be part of it put the streamer on your letter box or somewhere easy to spot.

You need to have a little luck in life.

Had a quick trip to SYD last weekend on JQ and did not purchase luggage. Just needed laptop and a few clothes. Left the laptop bag in Brisbane and took along my backpack with laptop inside backpack.

When I got back to OOL on Saturday was walking back to terminal after deplaning and heard a thud behind me. The strap had come apart and backpack fell to the ground.

Didn't think too much about it but laptop took most of the impact. That night I saw a huge crack on the corner of the laptop and the screen has come apart a little with wires now exposed. The laptop has now turned itself off at least once. Not expensive but more things to worry about now. :(

Somehow managed to dodge a bullet with the desk reshuffle tomorrow. No one sitting behind me, window overlloking Mt Cootha to my left, no one sitting in front of me as there's a support column there and 1 person sitting to the right of me.

It pays to whinge....
