Sneaky council coughs.

We use to go to a particular spot for diving, pay all day parking and when we left about 4hrs later, would give our parking voucher to someone to use. All day parking, right.

Then they changed it so you had to enter your rego number, so other cars can't use the ticket. Aholes.

Yeah. Sometimes as a personalized plate my number fails to register properly so that’s a win. The rego plates are photographed here.

Did I ever share about the time I cancelled the sports channel on our Foxtel?

Me: I want to cancel the Sport channel on our subscription please.

Agent: In a friendly voice, "does your husband know youre going to do that?"

Me: No idea but if he wants the sports channel, I guess he can ask his new girlfriend at his new house to provide it.

Agent: *imagining that his career prospects just died with this client phone call* Oh, um. Oh. Um. Oh......

Me: Just kidding. He knows, rugby is over so no need for sports. Still happily married.

Agent: Oh thank God! I thought I was going to get in trouble...

That time of year again, when I cancel sports channel for a while.

Managed to come home to work from home for the rest of the day; no way I want to deal with traffic when the storms hit.

Looks like it's going to slide under us here in Canberra, we shall see.

I did want to go down to Lakes Entrance and environment for this weekends historic Alpine car rally, but other things cropped up, maybe it will not be such a bad thing not going down there.

Is that a council car park or a Wilson Parking one? At John James Hospital and Medical Centre which they have the 'rights' to, you need to put in the number plate and also the length of time. Just seems wrong for a hospital to have done this. The ACT government now has drive around vans with number plate recognition for timed free parking areas. No more checking for the white chalk mark.;)

In our area the parking spots have underground sensors which alert the inspector when your time is up. Not even a minutes grace if you are running late.

We have parking inspectors and its now been handed over to local council for my building complex because lots of people would park and then catch a bus on the tway to their offices (CBD?). If we have a guest that gets fined, I can have it waived on request.

They are very strict but it also means food businesses in the complex now get a lot more workers from nearby (too lazy to walk). Its been a lot better since the crackdown but its unpaid 2hr visitor parking.

A bit like the Great Polar Vortex which turned out to be a fizzer :)

Dont know about that, my backyard currently more closely resembles a river, my gutters are overflowing and the tree branches are all down at shoulder height.

Anyone with Etihad & Velocity experience?

Wish to confirm that booking direct with EY will still earn VA status credits on applicable flights (governed by fare type).

What overseas travel can a couple buy with $2800?
Qantas to BKK for $650 each or Scoot to BKK for $450 each or less.

Let's say $1300 on airfares and that leaves $1500.

Decent hotel in BKK for around $60-$80/night including breakfast so let's say 7 nights are going to cost $560 which leaves us $940 spending money. I can play 4 days of golf and still have over $500 left over to spend.

If you're spending more than $10/person on dinner you're squandering. Lunch should be less than half the cost. That still leaves a fair amount on souvenirs, clothes etc.

Really? We haven't had any rain at all yet though it is pretty dark and windy.
You were lucky you were able to go home from work early so you aren't caught out in it. Are the doggies and puss upset with the rains and wind?
