Really? We haven't had any rain at all yet though it is pretty dark and windy.
You were lucky you were able to go home from work early so you aren't caught out in it. Are the doggies and puss upset with the rains and wind?
Boss couldnt even get to work so I think that helped my case (plus was recommended by someone at work who volunteers with the SES). Animals are fine, happy to be inside. Not windy here at all though.

Looks like it's going to slide under us here in Canberra, we shall see.

Yes, it looked like that on the BOM site, but we have just had 25 mins of light rain here in Kambah Heights. Its now cleared from the west and also the south. Can see Tuggers and the mountains beyond again now.

Tomorrow could be another story though.

We had about 3 drips - not even enough to shut the windows; we often get by-passed by rain and the children who both live in the Woden Valley can get a drenching while we have nowt.

We seem to be bypassed quite often too, as we can see rain to the west, obscuring the mountains. It then moves in a south easterly direction over the mountains and the lake etc, leaving us untouched, sometimes in bright sunshine. Canberra micro climates are quite odd.

The weather has matched my mood today. I went to a colleague's wife's funeral. 42 years old leaving behind a husband and 6 y.o. son.

Damn you cancer.

Saw a segment tonight on TV about Hutt River Province. Brady Hall was visiting and mentioned getting one's passport stamped.

Just wondering whether this would be seen as defacing the document given that Australian immigration doesn't recognise HRP and the passport belongs to the CoA.

As a diver, I really wished people would not release balloons.

Releasing balloons does nothing but pollute the environment and risk animals lives. Ive seen it many times.

Releasing balloons in no shape or form is an indication of someone's soul going anywhere so I wish people would stop doing this.

Edit. And stop throwing ciggies on the ground. It all ends up in the water.

A bit damp here now. :)
About 35mm overnight but not stormy or overly windy, just wet. I like it as it has washed the bird poop from the windows and ledges. They're a bit hard to clean on the 7th floor.
I feel sorry for those people with weddings etc today. Our wedding was on 1 December, a few years back, and it was hot with a strong north wind, so a different kind on unpleasant day.
North Eastern Victoria seems to have had the worst of it.
How are others faring?

My niece is taking cover in a building that houses nothing but alcohol.... she should last the weekend :)

Today the weather bureau said their computer models were wrong for Adelaide’s weather and rain. Are these the same models they are using for the temperature changes to the earths climate for the next 100 years?

My window cleaner is excited that I got him a solution to take bore water and other stains off windows. It is one of the other products made in Australia that is out of our field.
We do supply a drain smell remover....you dilute it in water and pour it into a smelly drain and it is fixed for 6 months...it gets rid of stale smells you get in apartments in high rises. We are always happy to promote special products when they are made in Australia.
