Today the weather bureau said their computer models were wrong for Adelaide’s weather and rain. Are these the same models they are using for the temperature changes to the earths climate for the next 100 years?

Not the same models other computer models with assumptions with the big assumption (now religious like belief) that the model is correct. Some say data sensor ( temperature) results have been rounded up (never down) / doctored to fit a particular model.

If you want to know what the weather is going to be look out the window...

Increasingly I have come to the view that the BOM will give out a calamitous weather warning which then miraculously improves to nothing more than a bit of rain. Might as well toss a coin

Had my car serviced and had complimentary wash clean by dealer (must be the reason for all the rains - no need to rely on BOM). The musty smells from aircon disappeared.

Apparently they pump the car full of ozone and recirculate the air through the air vents - smells gone. $40

Canberra micro climates are quite odd.

The big building on the top of the hill seems to be quite warm on account of all the hot air it produces

That has surely come from my own mouth!

MrP and I studied Meteorology at Uni and he was also a keen boatie, surfer and windsurfer. To this day he looks at the clouds, the wind direction and local area and can predict the weather for the next few hours. He will often say the forecast is wrong.

I think the Bureaus are overamping the severe weather forecasts and then the media adds their hype. Imminent disaster drives people to social media. I understand what Trump means about Fake News (but that is as much as I will concede to him)

I give our unwanted cough to a nephew/his wife to garage sale and they keep the money. My portable massage table was sold to a guy that massages greyhounds. Apparently there is a market for most things.

A bit damp here now.
About 35mm overnight but not stormy or overly windy, just wet. I like it as it has washed the bird poop from the windows and ledges. They're a bit hard to clean on the 7th floor.
I feel sorry for those people with weddings etc today. Our wedding was on 1 December, a few years back, and it was hot with a strong north wind, so a different kind on unpleasant day.
North Eastern Victoria seems to have had the worst of it.

Had a filling done today. Came back from the dentist 3 hours ago and now the local is wearing off and it's starting to kill so took some panadol. I'm starving too, but have to wait another hour before I can eat anything

If having work done, I always ask my dentist for a panadine forte prescription. Usually only 4 or 8 tablets but always handy to have.
