Lots of advises to not feed the wildlife but then you get to Kingscote and there's a old guy who has been feeding pelicans on the wharf for years.

What happens when he drops dead and this town then has dozens of pelicans unable or unwilling to hunt for themselves because he's been feeding them for decades?
The pelicans will eat him? :(

Oh dear. 10.40pm and the Barmy Army are chanting right near our apartment. Loudly.

I did not know sheep milk cheese existed.

I hate all things lamb and sheep. I don't cook or eat it.

I knew about goats and cows (obviously) but not sheep.

You’re in Melbourne? For the cricket?
Yep. Finally took advantage of MrP’s contacts at MCC and have tickets for today on level 4 Row A in the MCC reserve. Must dress nicely though.
So left late last night (6pm) so no rush on Boxing Day. Melbourne airport was deserted!

This day last year we were about to board Princess Diamond in Singapore.

Ooh, very la-di-da; members an’ all! Best behaviour then. We’re doing a spot of retail therapy then home tomorrow.

What a sheltered life you’ve led! Without ‘pecorino’ and others, the world would not be right!

We were asked if we wanted seats in the MCC box with lunch and drinks provided. MrP said NO  as he didn’t want to socialise and be on best behaviour while watching cricket. I suggested we should ask for one ticket in each area ;). Last week we found out our friends, him I went to primary school with and he’s on the SACA committee are also going to be in the box. I was a little, ahem :mad::mad:

So it’s going to be 34C and we could have been in comfortable air conditioning with the best seats in the house. The seats actually are excellent but I shall comment on such lack of aircond appropriately at around 3.30pm this afternoon when I’m all hot and whiny from the heat. Maybe I shall stage a faint even.

Bummer!

Going to be quite hot here today so enjoy the cricket.

Oh Dear..... and I was a wool classer in a previous life.....
I love lamb but it’s so expensive. I’m surprised how many people I’ve come across lately who dislike it. It’s been a staple food for us. Woolly jumpers tend to make me itch but the softer varieties are lovely for children’s jumpers.

I'm Kiwi so it was a staple in our house growing up - but usually a leg of mutton. I will eat lamb only as a last resort on a menu as I am just not a fan of the flavour or the pinkness it is served at.

I never buy it or cook it at home.

I have Italian parents so roast veal on Sundays for us and lamb was a cheap, smelly meat so never had it in our house growing up.

Hubby has to go to his mums house for a lamb roast.
