Surely you forgot the chocolates? When my husband treats himself, he gets a new guitar, camera lenses and VR headset.
When I treat myself, I get new bed topper, new down pillows and put some $ away into slush fund.
I'm doing something wrong.
Denali, one of my young students (aged 10) recently lost her grandmother. A few weeks later she told me that her grandmother visits her regularly. She doesn't speak, just waves and smiles. Although she offered the information voluntarily, she was hesitant to tell me about it at first, worrying I'd think she was "crazy" (her word).Since my nephews grandfather died, btw nephew has downs syndrome, hes been talking about Pop visiting him in his sleep
Well true memories kick in from 6 years of age so I’d still say memories of people important to him. We understand less than 10% of brain function and particularly amongst those who function differently to the average - hate the expression but eg - idiot savants - eg can play music having never seen the sheet music, numbers, and so on so who knows. I just can’t attribute such things to afterlife but rather our extremely limited understanding of brain, emotion and conscience.Nephew is now 37, he was about 10 when Nanna died, so 27yrs ago. He never talked about her and occasionally she shows up with Pop. And again, he's Downs so not doing it for attention or because he has a belief in the afterlife.
And its always weather warning related visits, always spot on.
Just fed a hot possum some cooling watermelon! 38.5CToday I'm grateful for watermelon. Im sure we've eaten half of one today, so yummy.
Science has never been able to explain our conscience or our soul.I just can’t attribute such things to afterlife but rather our extremely limited understanding of brain, emotion and conscience.
Neither has superstitious or medieval belief. So stick with science and falsifiability and you are of much firmer ground.Science has never been able to explain our conscience or our soul.
You are born with one, it develops and then dies when you die? We don't know. We are guessing.
But you're right about 10% brain function. Imagine what you can do with the other 90%. Fly? Swim long distances fast?
I guess we'll never know.
