I don't believe in cremation.

Don't really believe in death either. We may depart this place but it's not the end of the journey.
John,

I strongly recommend the new Disney animation movie Coco to you. It's all about how the Mexicans view the 'next' life and it is very well told and pitched at multiple levels for different age groups.

Disney spent a bunch of time in San Miguel Mexico (where our daughter and family were staying) ensuring they got the details right.

So yesterday flying from MCO to DFW I was sitting in 1A - so perfect for checking out all the hand carries - when a guy goes past carrying a folding sun lounge !!!!! How the hell was he going to get that in the overhead ?????
Has he flown on American Airlines with non bolted down seats before?

We were on AA. The FA down the back came up and said to the FA in 1st " where am I going to put a .... folding sun chair " The gate lady wanted to check it, but they finally found somewhere ! It was a full flight !!

I took a floor fan to Cambodia but packed in it check in/in box. Got to our villa, turned off all the air con/open doors & windows and used the fan for our entire stay.

Gave the fan to the lady that cleaned our villa every day before we left.

I didnt realise people didn't dream in colour. Mine are always coloured...I started out at a leftie but am now right handed.

Right handed and I dream in colour. I am left handed for a few things like eating as I imitated my sister (who is a lefty) growing up.

There’s ‘belief’ then there’s published falsifiable scientific research. Morality and religion don’t come into it.
Ah yes. I keep forgetting that science has the answer for everything. By using theories.

I'm not as religious as you think. I'm simply trying to interpret my experiences through my eyes not someone else's.

Anyway this is a pointless discussion.

I think it was us hybrids (mix of left and right influences) they were most interested in.

If you have Foxtel and crime docos are your thing, I recommend The Family I had. 13yr brother kills his little sister (stabbed 17 times!) and the aftermath and current time for the family.

You use to say you would never be able to kill anybody, unless they hurt one of your kids. I bet you never thought it would turn out to be one of your kids so what are you going to do now?

Son might be a sociopath (IQ 142) but grandma has her own dark secrets.

Watched Monty last week. At the end of Holy Grail, Stalker castle I think, staying near there one night.

I watched it too. Hadn't seen it since I was a kid and didn't really notice those sorts of things back then.

But have now put Stalker Castle on the ever growing list of places I'd like to visit. Doubt it'll happen though.

Nothing wrong with economy. Some very important people fly economy. Plus why would would you want to be in the same cabin as the snobs up front? ;)

That is a very rash assumption Johnk. And frankly a wee bit offensive.
I’m sure plenty here fly in J and would never be seen as being “snobs”.

Yes IMHO pointless that you have a need to share your beliefs as above with us so often.

That’s what science is. Theories that later on are proved wrong or right.

I understand and agree.

Anyway this is a pointless discussion.
I don’t agree and am finding it quite interesting and informative.

37 Deg C today (approx) in my little corner of the Bayside near BNE. I have the A/C running flat out. And it’s struggling!

Theories with scientific hardware stuff to back it up. Brain scans, other scans, blood tests. Scientists can see in real time the effects of chemical reactions and neurotransmitters (and, well, whatever - I'm not a scientist!). Feeling happy is just a bunch of chemicals doing what they do. And feeling bad is the same, except we try and avoid doing that.

Sure there's a lot more to learn, but out of the entirety of human existence we've only had a few years looking at this. At one time religion, superstition and whatever else was used to try and explain things. Now we have science, and science can step in to assist with all sorts of things, like treating mental illness for example.

Husband tells me he wants a small plunge pool, when we rebuild in a couple of years.

Me, trying to save budget: Can't you fill up the giant water bucket (we use to wash dive gear, about 400ltrs) and use that
