When we were in Cambodia, our villa had a small plunge in pool.

Of course, being Cambodia, it was hot water, like a spa but without bubbles.

I took a floor fan to Cambodia but packed in it check in/in box. Got to our villa, turned off all the air con/open doors & windows and used the fan for our entire stay.

Gave the fan to the lady that cleaned our villa every day before we left.
I'm sure you had a reason but see I would think "why bother?".:)

That is a very rash assumption Johnk. And frankly a wee bit offensive.
I’m sure plenty here fly in J and would never be seen as being “snobs”.
But there are also some/many who fly Y as well on here and I bet some of them feel a little out of it sometimes. :)

My S5 Vf mobile hasn't downloaded any emails since Wednesday night and daughter's since Jan 5. Have checked settings but can't see anything amiss. Even initiating manual sync doesn't work.

Anyone rlse have Vf problems like this?

Can't stand air conditioning but needed air moving (especially at night) and villa didn't have ceiling fans. Could have bought a fan when we got there but didn't want to be bothered looking for one so took one with us, had it working within mins on arrival.

Our driver also wasn't happy with us, when we told him no air con.

I take it you are talking about a phone?;)
Have no idea:p but good luck! Hope you get it fixed.

Reminds me, how are the dark hair roots going now you are not 'nordic blond'?

My husband bought himself one of those virtual reality headset things

Currently pointing out clouds and mushrooms that aren't there so could also be on LSD.
When we were visiting Master FM he got us to play some VR games. Most of them were really fun and I could actually see myself playing them, if I could be bothered buying the games and the VR gear. One was being in space with zero gravity and trying to move around. I pushed too hard and found myself ricocheting into a wall. I gave up after that - I know it wasn't real but it felt real.

Mr FM still does a bit of consultancy for a business in Sydney. They have bought him a holo lens to play with with a view to incorporating into their business software. It is really good - expensive though - I think it was around $8,000, although the price is coming down.

I finally remembered to bring my Haigh chocs home.

Got choc frogs, honeycomb, choc dipped berries a caramels.

The caramel bars and berries are big favourites with Miss FM and Mr FM. We are still working our way through the chocolate Christmas puddings and the Grand Marnier Bar that no-one ate on Christmas day. They seem to have snuck in all sorts of disgusting things like twisties, while we were in SFO and then didn't have room for the choccies .....

Nope

You are at work to work -not care for a child. You won’t do either job with the proper attention. Surprised HR would sign off on that!
I always allowed staff to bring children to the office if they had a sick child. Never had to have babies, but then they all took 12 months maternity.

I even kept paper and crayons to entertain them. I will be honest and say it could be a pain. I had one lass whose husband worked nights, so he would drop the kids off at the office on the way to his work and I would have 3 kids around for about two hours until she left for the day. They viewed me as a soft touch, so usually ended up around my desk drawing things and chatting. They were lovely children and very well behaved. I usually worked from home, so if I was in the office it was because I had urgent things to do like the monthly billing, so a bit of a pain.

However it is pretty hard juggling kids and a job, so I was happy to provide that flexibility. Clearly it can't work in all work places, but where it can I believe this is part of what we need to do.....

The Haigh milk choc Berry is really good.

Actually, happily surprised by how good Heighs is. Wonder if they do white choc.

They do - not as much as the real chocolate though. I think from memory there is a strawberry and white chocolate.
