Life ..
So our life must change (time ) and one job is to clean up the mess…
Tonight (lubricated by a nice Chaffey riesling ) I am cutting another old tape to the computer
This one is Harry Chapin , greatest stories live , ( previous was Jesse Norman ,four last songs)
I am wearing my old Bose QC's and drifting away… life is not all bad...

I’m very sorry to hear that.

A good friend lost her grandmother this week and I’m coming up the 2nd anniversary of my Poppa so I have been spending a bit of time reflecting on how important my grandparents have been in my life. They do have a special role spanning the generations and being the glue of the families. They certainly leave a big hole :(

Brilliant! Show us a picture of your pressed wild flowers and you in “high heels, Suspendies, and a bra” and we’ll believe you.:)

Never done pressed wildflowers - would pressed Nevada Mormon Beetles do?

As for the rest ... you weren't in Kalgoorlie in 1984, were you? Dammit, how do you delete stuff now ...?

Between superstitions and reality? Sure.
Don't dismiss what you don't know nor understand. I'll leave it at that as according to you the reality that multiple people experience at once is imaginary.

Yep. What ever you reckon.

Apologies for the self indulgence, but I was looking for some pics to illustrate some of the stuff above, and I came across some old images of my time in the Top End. Brilliant memories ...

Now, I know there's a old Chinese working here somewhere (creeping along in a 4WD) ...

Does any one know what these little things are on the IFE screen on Qantas flights Perth Melbourne?

Bit embarrassed about the state of the camp in this pic. Stores tent; camp stretchers off to the left. Bats overhead were always a hazard; inclined to do messy 'bombing raids'.

Well, who's going to pick up the core trays, then?

My workplace for mornings for a few years (no, not me :)... this guy earned about three times what I did and earned every cent. ) So hot, noisy and humid you wouldn't believe.

Then of course there is the other end of the spectrum:

She passed away this afternoon.
One of my best friends mother also passed away yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately we will be in NZ and will miss the funeral.
Is it something that comes with older age........ we only seem to meet up with friends that live over 100km away at Hatchings,/Matchings/Dispatchings.

Yes that’s what I read into your post.
I do take a lot of consolation when elderly relatives pass away that it’s in the right order of nature and that they’ve had a wealth of experiences in their time. That also means they will be very missed.

Trouble is, with both sets of our parents now gone, this means that we are now the elders.

As in - four weddings and a funeral? ;)

I thought they were a motion sensor to turn off the screen if you went to sleep, but I could be totally wrong.

I was thinking it is a light sensor for auto dimming.

ISTR there's no brightness control on the 330 IFE that has these.

Interesting 4 hours in the office. I managed 8 hours worth of work and I can have an early mark.
