The totally off-topic thread

I've been interesed in the story, one of the "kids" in the photo is mid 20s but looks like a child!

Crazy stuff. I wonder how they will be in 10 years time, with therapy will they be remotely "normal".
It’s ok. They are very strong religious.

There is always a rbt stop near my house, I guess because a couple of streets away is a major road leading onto the motorway so this is easier to control.

Today I indicated, stopped and reversed into my driveway (lots of groceries to unload), looked up and police were running into my yard.

They thought I was avoiding the rbt and hiding in random house.

On the plus side, I have a very strong fight response. Didn't know that.

Oh, I dunno. I understand superstitions well enough; I just don't indulge. Although these, from my gggg-grandfather's place I'm researching, are part of a family of superstitious symbolism throughout Tasmania, and beyond that are not well understood. What do you reckon?

I think they look like something a naughty boy with a pen knife would do ;)

Very definitely a Slow News day.

I agree, except the same patterns are repeated around the state. The ones I showed were in the door frames in a pub and date from c.1830s.

See the article linked to above for one carved in stone in the midlands.

Watched a number of episodes but didn't find it enthralling as many seem to do. Don't see any redeeming aspects of the series. The original book was better.:)

Just finished last series of Black Mirror which I thought were very good.
Master FM has said we should watch Black Mirror, so it’s on the list. Watching Defenders at the moment - we only watch an hour a night of TV so it takes a long time to get through our list....

There’s a thread for TV shows you know.:)

I swear, my brother is taking empty nester to the extreme with his dog.

Its sitting in the park, under a shade tent, on a cooling mat, with its own personal fan.

Told him that I don't think he treated his own kids that well, when they lived at home :)

So what did you do to them?

I must be reading too many reports on US police brutality, shootings ect.

I was all, "Identify yourselves, no I won't get out of the car until you tell me why". Told told them I had a dash cam recording them. I actually have two cameras, one in the rear but only said one.

Over the top but they spooked me, running down the driveway and trying to open my door, yelling get out of the car. I'm 50 and fat, I'm not jumping for anyone these days.

Pity my car was off, no dash cam of them entering.

I admit I over reacted. I've been stopped before for randoms and always polite.

This is what a tennis crush looks like. Late end of last match (2 hours) and people departing plus everyone here for night match. Doors closed and a stadium of people packed in here.
