I dont get pokies.

My F&P clothes dryer has lights and bells when you turn it on and press buttons. No different from a pokie machine and about the same amount of winnings for most.
Actually clothes driers have a better return. Close on 100% if the odd sock going missing counts as the net loss.

What don't you get?

It's like any other obsession. No different to buying scratchies, lotteries, betting on the horses or any sport for that matter, any card game including stupid texas holdem, any table game etc.

For me it's a stress release. It provides a huge adrenalin rush and allows me to forget the non stop daily issues that plague our lives. Losing money is not ideal but that comes about from the hands of the greedy government tax/levy on turnover and the huge cut that clubs/pubs/casinos take.

I can think of worse things to do.

Wow, that was on the quite - was there any media about this prior?

and having sexual intercourse without consent.

Why the watered down legal jargon. Rape. Sexual intercourse without consent is rape.

Pet peeve, "Molesting" a child or minor is another word for rape.
Yeah. Lawyers and plea bargaining for pleading guilty to that rather than rape I guess.

It was in the news a year or so ago.

My washing machine likes to spit out extra socks that don’t belong to anyone...

Now its Telstra trying to annoy me.

Trying to get a mobile number, sim only only with data plan off the company Telstra account and was advised that would cost $600.00

they are leaving, retiring because of bad health.

I have asked Telstra to look into it as that seems excessively high.

Happy with this although

and that’s what happens with preferences. Person A gets the most outright votes but person C’s second preferences flow to Person B and they win.
And that's where preferential voting has lost its way. Voting is supposed to be about voting to elect someone not voting against electing someone.

I would prefer the system where 50.0001% of the votes gets you the seat. If no one wins the seat after 1st round then top 2 candidates contest 2nd round.

And the senate voting is ludicrous when someone with less than 100 votes has the same say as someone with 15,000 votes. Totally wrong. First and 2nd and even 3rd round voting until you get clear winners. Yes it costs more but you have a more realistic outcome than someone from the bottom of the ballet getting up.

It’s annoying to have so many probably unnecessary pre votes. They don’t get counted Saturday night.

I’ll just leave this here. I did ask a question. Maybe around 29 minute mark ;)

Watch the squirm courtesy of my new friend Mr Speers. And why people really warmed to MrX and why it’s a tough choice. Especially for rusted ons.

I see you....:). Oh you media personality :p. Good question, delivered like a pro.

It’s the first time the family has seen it. MrP on a plane. And the kids were, kids. I think the discussion sums up politics here currently. Weatherill not accepting accountability, Marshall kind of out of depth and MrX actually understood and ‘got’ the question. Did you like the little diversion at the beginning?

I emailed Sky News from the Facebook page about getting the video. Within 10 minutes the Head of Digital from Sky News replied. I was very impressed.

And it eliminates any gaming of the system and behind the scenes preference deals

On the whole plastic debate, London is trying a few things... how well it'll work I don't know, as I can't think of many people that would be carrying around their own water bottle to make use of the service. Also, those that would be carrying the water bottle I dare say would not be the demographic of people that would be buying bottled water anyway......

We moved a year ago and my credit card statement still goes to the old address. Updated details with bank, rang them three or four times. In their system only our new address is visible yet it continues to go to the old address.

Sounds like Citibank!
