I did feel a sense of guilt at how the impact on us was handled as best as it might be. But Qatar at that time only had 2 people handling the whole plane. Hopefully more were brought in after we left. We got downstairs to a plane load full of luggage taken off the belt trying to find our case.
That would be a nightmare trying to accommodate that many people with new flights.

Ive said to hubby if there is ever an unload, we're to charge to the desk because there usually isnt a priority desk in these situations and we have to get in front of the pack.

Camera phone started taking blurry/cloudy photos a few days ago. Looks like some sort of condensation/stain diagonally across on the inside of the rear camera.

I watched some do it yourself videos. I'm guessing if you opened the camera cover then you'll need to replace it with a new cover? Anyone attempted to fix a camera phone themselves?

Is it Samsung? I find sometimes it goes a bit blurry, try hold the phone upright and then double tap it on your hand - that puts it back in focus (for me and countless others, anyway!).

I don't know why I haven't thought of doing this before. If you need some tripspiration, fly into one of the Balkan countries and pickup a car.. Then drive in a big loop. There are some stunning drives, amazing scenery and friendly people all over. Booking accommodation each night as we go (which I NEVER do!) has worked really well and still really cheap.

Exhibit A: There are worse views in the world to wake up to....

Exhibit A: Absolutely stunning drive from southern Serbia (Novi Pazar) down to Kotor (Montenegro yesterday) too.

Why do I have to call to get a discount?

Latest AGL electricity bill $236 for 90 days and 475 kWh usage on a single meter so peak usage only. Used iSelect and CompareTheMarket and AGL is showing $207 with Alinta Energy and Red Energy around $195.

Called AGL and was asked if I pay on time. Yes direct debit from day 1 over 4 years ago. They offered 28% discount for paying on time. LOL. Why didn't you offer this to me without asking?

Loyalty obviously means nothing.

As with anything in life it's a case of if you don't ask, you don't get! One of the best things I ever taught Mrs Flashback to have as a life motto.

Yes Samsung S5. I've tried many things. Tapping, pointing away and then back again. Nothing works.

Well that’s useful - thank-you!

The wooden ones are broader. My hiking poles would have just sunk straight into the mud (if I hadn’t been carried up the mountain in a stretcher #thankyoubrokenleg).

PS. I’m jealous. Would absolutely love to go back to Rwanda.

All 11 men in the photo helped carry me, and they worked really hard with the high altitude and steep climb. I tipped around 5 times more than was expected. Lol!

They won’t say. Engine?

We lost flight Adl - Doh - Venice last night. Hotel in Venice charged us for tonight and threatened to cancel whole booking. I will slam them on Social Media if they do. They have our credit card. They know why we didn’t arrive. They know we are coming. Qatar put us in Hotel and taxi and food vouchers. New flights today. Lost a taxi booking in Venice plus a night/day there.
That’s what TI is for.

MrLtL has taken to drinking soda with a squeeze of lime or a dash of bitters (instead of plain water). He made himself one a little while ago. I did enquire if it tasted OK as I found an opened bottle of tonic in the fridge!

I dont like the cold and want to move to Darwin but only if being sweaty and slightly stinky is acceptable as we rarely use aircon.

I left home at 16, and chose Darwin as being as far away from home (Canberra) and the cold as I could get. It was a fantastic city in the 70’s and I had the time of my life. I loved the heat and social life. Now when I visit I can’t cope at all. Still have good friends there, but I just hate the heat more as I get older.

we are chronically lazy. When we first moved into our new house 17 years ago we negotiated energy discounts. After a year it lapsed and we did nothing more. Late last year we put in a solar system and as part of that investigated prices. We were shocked to find out how much were paying vs the deals out there. We agreed to swap to another provider and then our current provider phoned us up and offered us an even better deal and claimed they phoned us all the time to offer us good deals - no never!

So we stayed with them, but have learnt our lesson and now each year we will phone around and swap to whoever is best - when it comes to pretty much everything theses days loyalty just makes you a bit of a mug....

I’m doing exactly that. Better than soft drink but can still have the fizziness

In Africa (heat, cold, bugs ect), busted up from a car accident and you still look like you put yourself together in the morning!

I can barely manage the minimum mineral power/foundation by day 3.

Ha ha. You are too kind. I’m sure you do very well.

However, you know all the cough I went through last year and I do indeed surprise myself sometimes. :p

It was SO worth it. I had some help from travelling companion @Mickeyc747

Ha and nope, no I dont. Hair goes up into a messy pony bun, no make up - I would wear comfy shoes 24/7.

I start with good intention to take a few mins each morning but I look at the makeup and pffft, forget that.

Ive seen a few makeup tutorials and lose the will to live after the 28th product they put on their face.
