Not easy to get 7 people from 3 states together. Haven't heard from Lindsay, straitman or NM on any preferred dates.serfty said:A Saturday is a bit rushed for me as well. Maybe revisit August?
MetroAir said:OK, so which date is it??
serfty said:Seems most posting can do 29/30th July or 5/6th August.
So how about settling one of those weekends. I know it's unfortunate for those who can't make it then but there can be other times.
Mt Coolum GC is not too shabby either; must be many many balls in those mangroves... and "no, I'm not going in there to look for them..." :shock:MetroAir said:Now that is a nice golf course, and just down the road from me
Somehow, I don't think they would take kindly to a bunch of guys with buckets and spades
Why do I get the feeling that you have played golf there?serfty said:Mt Coolum GC is not too shabby either; must be many many balls in those mangroves... and "no, I'm not going in there to look for them..."
Golf Balls  .JohnK said:Serfty, what is hiding in the mangroves?

Legless golf balls, yes. Golf balls with fangs ... hmm?serfty said:Certain types of Fauna; generally legless and with Fangs!
I think serfty is referring to balata golf balls as they have a bit of bite on them. :wink:NM said:Legless golf balls, yes. Golf balls with fangs ... hmm?serfty said:Certain types of Fauna; generally legless and with Fangs!
My golf balls usually come with snorkels or scuba tanks, not fangs. They prepare themselves for the inevitable before being placed on the tee.JohnK said:I think serfty is referring to balata golf balls as they have a bit of bite on them. :wink:NM said:Legless golf balls, yes. At least you can joke about it.NM said:My golf balls usually come with snorkels or scuba tanks, not fangs. They prepare themselves for the inevitable before being placed on the tee.
We need to firm up a date on this ASAP! QF has The Great Australian Sale on right now (ending 1st June) with some really good value deals.serfty said:Seems most posting can do 29/30th July or 5/6th August.

FWIW, all mid-year Oz school holidays will have finished 24th July so discount fare availability should be better.
Didn't realise. That may have been a good one to attend. Any AFF'ers apart from you attending? I suppose I can check on FT!Kiwi Flyer said:28/29 July is AKL do.
I don't see this one getting off the ground as serfty and I are the only ones that have committed. Or should that be have been committed?Kiwi Flyer said:Otherwise I could possibly make sometime in August, depending on fares and work and other commitments.
I was thinking of attending; here is the FT Link: Auckland - 28th to 30th July. I've been investigating airfares.JohnK said:Didn't realise. That may have been a good one to attend. Any AFF'ers apart from you attending? I suppose I can check on FT!
