You migh have to try MA in Europe. They had proper premium seats and those people behind the curtain appeared to be fed a hot meal.

SO over this flippin' cold!!! I made it through most of winter ok and it had to hit me on the last few days of winter.:evil::shock: OK I did spend a month in SF but that's if you can consider 12 degree temps to be "summer."

Unless you're flying Club, probably not anymore!

I'm pretty sure all shorthaul on BA Y is birdseed.

Do they still serve Nobilo sauv blanc in whY? I don't know what it's like for UK flights, but as I recall they served it for regional flights as short as LGW-AMS. It's so yummy that I learnt to ask for 2 bottles everytime i pressed the call bell. Made the 1 hr or so flight go a lot quicker....

I'll be flying GLA- LHR in 2 weeks. Pretty sure that's an alcohol free zone until I hit the First lounge in T3 prior to to 380 to MEL ( definitely not an alcohol free zone and hopefully also in F if upgrade comes through !!)

I just loved the comments I saw on the Qantas Facebook page this morning.

Which ones in particular? Nulanji dreaming, Australian flag or Qantas going to Albany, WA next year?

First, second, fifth. Somehow I always seem to see that side of the Australian public, of course, not on AFF! But in other places.

I showed New Zealanders in the bar tonight, they agreed with my thinking…

Can I give my strongest recommendation for the Roux Pere & Fils Saint-Aubin Premier Cru "Les Cortons" - available now in the T3 Galleries First ;)

Fair enough. It is a sensitive issue and you are not going to get everyone to agree. So whichever way you go someone is going to be offended.

samh004, I read the same thing this morning on my morning walk...and thought how they should be here on AFF.

Do :)

And am I right in reading that you are a FACEM in NSW? What's the work like there?

Correct. When not dealing with toadies from the moribund state government work is good. Reasonable working conditions, good conference leave and allowances (hence my love of travel and all things AFF ).Not sure what will happen when the dreaded "4hour rule" comes in !

Well my second MA sector and second problem.Get to checkin-your flight is cancelled. To the ticket office and transferred to LH leaving 45 minutes earlier.Just made it.Will luggage and points?

Took a walk through where Oktoberfest will be held this year, and it is massive! Apparently it can get up to 1,000,000 people there at it's peak.. incredible!

Yeah, the size is unbelievable. Think the Royal Easter Show + Royal Melbourne Show + Ekka then add a whole lot of beer halls. Then triple it.:shock:

Super awesome fun though!!
