Dad tried to checkin last night for his trip to SFO today on QF73 and received an error at the stage before confirming seat selection and printing his ticket (so couldn’t print a ticket). Tried a few times before giving up.

I tried this morning and just on a whim decided to select seats first (he was in 13J) and saw the F cabin (5 seats free). I selected 1K for him but then it said "seating cannot be confirmed" and his seat disappeared. Still couldn’t complete online checkin, so I had to call QF and they said he was still checked in for 13J, but he could try at the airport to move up.

He’s CX Diamond, do you think he was offered a seat in that cabin and that’s partly why there was an error proceeding with checkin? Do you think he’ll be able to get a seat in F at the airport?

I'm in the Darwin QP. It is packed. There are Bushrangers here. Don't know what sport they play but they are young and good looking :D

The fantastic thing is 2 flights in a row points upgrade success :D And this flight will renew my silver (only taken me the first three months of my year to achieve which is quick for me - thank you work funded flights).

Maybe you’ll get Gold in the next 3 months then, and if we’re going in quarters, surely Platinum by the end of the year? :p

Just cruising through Arizona's northeast, and took a back road to a town called Chinle, and was advised by a local to drive out to the Hopi Navajo Nations new attraction, Canyon de Chelly (pronounced Shelly). It is mind blowing, has the remains of the Anasazi people's cliff dwelling ruins. The Canyon is only second largest after the "Grand".
It's near Holbrook where I spent the night, and was on my way back to Monument Valley, which I love driving through, in the rented GMC .
Hey drron, if your out there, have just watched your Dallas boys have a nice win, allbeit on T.V.

Cheers Dee

Actually the Eagles are my team-just going to be in Dallas when Dallas is at home.
Loved De Chelly too. Some great sights in that area of the world.

I asked the man next to me in the QP about his iPad. We got chatting and guess what, am sharing a beer with wannabe.

Yes yes it's true... Almost your shout for the beer (and then I can steal my iPad back). Just kidding!

You would think if you are that close you would at least get the handle right, missing an e :lol::lol:

You're forgiven karens for leaving the 'e' off. The iPad does take a bit of getting used to.

You were true to your word and you did get the next beer.
Glad to have finally met someone from the forum albeit by strange coincidence :)

And to make it even spookier we met in Darwin but live within an hours drive from each other. Shoalhaven get together anyone?

Totally overdid it again on Sunday. :( I did not feel the best yesterday and I am still feeling the effects of it today. :(

One of these days I will learn....

Sat in the red zone on Pac Blue #88 to ZQN. Row 2, though row 1 has only 2 in the whole row yet row 2 is completely full. I'm puzzled. and row 3 behind me was empty too. Seems Pac Blu staff need to work out how to allocate seats a bit better in the "red zone".

Turns out they nearly didn't make it home according to newspaper reports about the landing.

I'd be up for one of them... :)

I'm still trying to make it to a Canberra get together. Will be running the Canberra Times fun run on the 12th. My goal is the 10 km's in under an hour. Problem is I've been invited to a toga party the night before. Can just see me going from the party to the fun run

Just wear your running gear under the toga. Leave party, shed sheet and start running.

We might have to have a special do just for you on that day, you'll be so exhausted that anything might happen.

As for a Shoalhaven do, well can we crash on your floor?
