Glad that you got on QF529,

Why are people required.

Because we are smarter, besides trying to get the QP to sort it out I have always found ringing reservations to be quicker, then just walking over to the machine and checking in, thats if its carry on only.

There have been some sort of carry on effects.

It would appear that QF533 has been cancelled and is due to depart at 20:30 tonight without passengers. I could be wrong.

Of the others QFF553 was a little late, QF555 is going to be late, QF551 due to depart at 18:45 has not even started boarding, QF767 to PER is going to be ~1 hour late and the last 2 flights to MEL and SYD look like they will also be delayed.

So far so good but I did get here earlier just in case and bumped in to froggerADL. Good to see you again.

The DRW-BNE flight normally operates that and AFAIK its stuck in DRW, yep, another BA bird - ZXF.

And guess who is still sitting in the lounge waiting for a 20:15 departure?

I knew I was jinxed from the day I was born but I really do need confirmation at least once a day. :(

I used to get that flight when I was commuting to SYD for weekends, it was a shocker for on time departures.

549 was an A332 tonight!

It wasn't when I booked the flights! How hard is it to advertise and keep a schedule? Must be very hard with all the new routes they are adding.

Only ended up being ~10 minutes late into SYD on a very lightly loaded flight (everyone spread around the cabin and told to stay there unless they have special permission to move around) and then waited around 30 minutes for luggage. Filed report and went home. Hopefully they will be able to track down the luggage.

If it's not one thing then it is another....

Did you do something bad in a previous life, or maybe Qantas are out to get you.

I am jinxed. That is a fact of my life.

I has happened with betting on horse races, slot machines, marriage (or lack there of), decision making including work, golf. And the list goes on.

But hey I am still alive and everyday I get the thrill of a new torture....

I am just about to head off to my farewell party, have a good night everyone !

It could have been worse, those people on the DRW flight that was meant to supply your flights aircraft got back tonight close to 24 hours late, with ZXF flying back empty.

If a plane goes u/s, what can you do. The passengers may have get-home-itis, but you sure as hell don't want your pilot suffering the same affliction.

John you've got to be a certainty to win the lotto or something as karma must exist.

To prove there is karma, my return flight today saw me in 4C with empty 4B, an on time departure and a fifteen minute early arrival home. Nice.

I was not referring to unserviceable aircraft. That happens and not much can be done about it.

I was referring to booking a flight today for travel in January on a 767 and then finding out next week that my flight has been changed to 737 with still 5 months to go. I know an aircraft is an aircraft but I specifically chose the 767 and avoided the 737 and I cannot change flights without some form of penalty.

I have to laugh as the TG flights I booked last week BKK-SIN for January and managed to get bulkhead on one flight and the other day I get an email that the aircraft has been changed already to an A340-600 and I lost my bulkhead but they have given me an aisle seat in second row of economy. Still not so bad.

I don't quite believe in karma but if I can wake every morning and be able to play golf without too much pain then I am a winner.

Glad to see things were much better for you on the return.

With TG, I wouldn't count on any particular aircraft type till you are on-board.

CX out of Perth used to schedule that mystery aircraft type 'EQV' :)

I just love it when people sit in the lounge and are so bored that they need to call everyone they know.

Apprently the guy sitting next to me had a really bad flight from BNE-NTL the other day and it knocked him for six. Can you tell he is South African?

Pretty cool, presumably a late a/c swap due to the issues of the day - wonder if they did a swap of a syd-mel-syd run?

I wish bne saw the 332 more on bne-syd, despite recent reliability issues I'd settle for a 763 on bne-mel (a 332 would be asking too much!)
