Add to that the saltwater crocodile skin version is the most expensive variety, just depends if she has diamonds with it or not ;)
Surely the bag is to keep your diamonds in!;)
Seriously 1 carat D flawless diamonds are a good way of carrying excess finances.i have known a woman who did-and before you all comment no one remotely related to me.:D

My parents work in the jewellery business and have clients doing just that. It's been explained to me that diamonds are a better investment than gold, but I can't remember the exact reasons why as I've always tuned out, having never really been into precious metals or rocks myself. :p

BREAKING NEWS!!! Mum has cleared the waitlist for a Birkin bag!!!!!! She ordered one with saltwater crocodile skin with palladium handles. She's been waiting for at least a year or 2 now.

My wife's cousin, works on/lives at a corocdile farm that supplies Hermes. I even got a tour of the farm a year or so back. So I might have seen your mum's handbag already. :D

Nice! You'd have seen more than me. I'm still trying to teach her how to use her newly acquired iPhone to take pics and send MMS's. *deep breaths* :p

It's not a symbol of anything - it's a lifestyle. Knowing Mum she'll probably lock it up in a case in the deepest recess of her bag room.... only to retrieve it occassionally to stare at it.

now if it was my wife she would say this bag i have had it for ages you just have seen it before or my sisters gave it to me !

I prefer to keep any wealth that I may have quiet from the rest of the world....the only person that needs to know if I have any wealth is myself....
Good philosophy.

Not that I have any wealth that needs to be kept quiet.... :-|

Yep, that's a line I have been known to use on occasion but it isn't so good for shoes sadly :(

"This old thing ... I found it in the walk in while I was looking for something else "

Now thats a line I use on Drron ..... but dont tell him. :D

Someone I was chatting to recently was complaining that their friends kept asking to stay at their holiday home.

My simple answer:
"Don't tell your friends you own it. Problem solved". Unless you're a wealth flasher, keeping your finances private is one of the best things you can do.

I'm in Japan. Finally back in the part of the world with a more palatable time difference to home.

Quite a weird thing here - most of the places that have free internet insist wired internet (i.e. LAN) rather than wireless. Meh, works for me.

I found the same thing here in BKK at the HI where the internet was included in the cost and no nasty surprises. :p

The time difference here is four hours and I reckon I will feel it for a few days once I get back tomorrow morning.
