Did the same to me the other day while booking a SYD-DRW flight.

Just went without, since I was booking jetsaver.

I think I've read on AFF before that this has always been an issue and that the best way to add it is to ring the JQ deathcentre..

My number, last I checked, can be entered, but my mums cannot. I found though that it was easier to add the flight afterwards (missing milage credit) than calling them up, as it never worked when I called

Well I hate Jetstar even more after the last 24 hours - And that's before they start cancelling or moving my flights!!!

What is wrong with their IT systems?

First-Halloween.Not an australian tradition.Meant to mark the beginning of autumn.
October 31 the beginning of Autumn? Must be an awfully long summer and an extremely short autumn as winter starts well before Christmas.

Is now in DFW Terminal D if anyone cares. :p

I have to tip the barmen here; I wonder what is included for free drinks; and what isn't.
Have to tip? Tipping is not compulsory.

Pre-QP I could enter my QFF number into the JQ system no probs, but since then nothing

Lets not go there ;)

As a hypothetical situation, what is the appropriate course of action in the situation?

Early one evening you are on the reception desk at a popular hotel complex such as The Hilton. Clearly agitated an elderly couple that you remember checking in earlier in the afternoon start complaining about the noise coming from a young family in the next room, its a full house tonight so unfortunately you cannot move them to another room, What do you do?

Thoughts?

I would ring the room and advise that a complaint has been made about noise by a neighbour and ask them to tone it down. Send complimentary hot choccies via room service to elderly couple.

Harakiri...it's the only honourable course of action.

Otherwise do as the night manager at the Crowne Plaza CHC did a few years ago when a large bunch of FTers were gathered in someone's room late at night and the conversation was getting loud. She appeared at the door and said to the room's occupant something like "there's been a complaint about the noise, if there are any more you'll be evicted" (I had left the room 5 mins earlier, but those still there certainly dispersed quicksmart).

Ring the room extension direct and tell them to shut up (nicely), bang loudly on their room door & tell them to tone it down. Ring the room extension a few more times   If no joy ask for a Duty Manager & explain what you've done isn't working.

I am extremely happy that I have managed to remain alcohol free on my current overseas trip.

That's awesome John, hope you feel better for it. You can get some great flavoured Mocktails in bars that won't give you a headache in the morning! :p

Well done; I can't say that for my holiday, I have had a few drinks and will probably have a few more before the holiday is over.

Now I hope I can get home, or those A380s all get checked over and get flying again.

Had a pretty good pilot last night, he gave his pre-takeoff briefing. "to the south, right turn, X thousand meters, katoomba on the left, tonight we'll be travelling at 79% of the speed of sound" :D:D

Another who will miss the Pigs.
