Serfty is right; I should have said no to Qantas on the re-route, really stuffing my plans for tomorrow.

The F ticket is more tricky I have to explain it better on the YUPP thread.

Now problem number 3, delay in SFO now arriving at 6:00pm with the AA flight due to depart at 6:50pm.

Now to figure where I will land and where AA1254 will depart from.

aa.com
AS316 arrives gate 22 and AA1254 departs from gate 64.

now to check SFO website.

Is now cruising along at 35,000 feet on Alaska Airlines as I caved in and purchased gogo inflight.

Currently using the netbook and I am not sure if I can turn it off and change to the iphone to give you a location and picture on the AFF Iphone App.

Standard beverage service with a drink and a packet of pretzels well really a snack mix as I am stuck in economy.

I don't think this is the first post on AFF inflight as I am sure someone else would have already beaten to me to it.

AA1254 SFO-LAX is showing a half hour delay; might have time to visit the AC in SFO that is if I can find it.

Yep.

I did on an AA flight DFW-SEA last year.

The club in SFO is small but quite nice if it is not crowded.

:D I could do with an afternoon tea now in fact, so might go make one.

Enjoy the trip (assuming you’re not just using Anytime Lounge Access)!! :)

Now this is weird. By rights, I would've thought that my phone can't work in Japan. In fact, most phones probably wouldn't.

But, it does....

In other news, Optus Zoo still showed that my Auto-roaming was off, but it isn't. I got a call the other day whilst in the USA, so it does work. It's not even consistent, because at first I thought it might be a glitch with AT&T and/or their operating agreement with Optus, but I tried making some calls whilst connected to AT&T on the West Coast of the USA, and it works.

Probably too late for this

American Airlines Terminal Map - San Francisco International Airport On AA.com

Near gate 61; on the left ~50 metres up from Security.

Yes you were a bit late but you are correct, as that is where I am now.

So in this lounge they have Corrs Lite as their free beer beverage, they have to pour it from a bottle as they are not set up for beers on tap.

AA1254 is now up to a 1 hour delay, and they changed the gate for a third time.

They only gave me only 1 drink chit at the front desk, maybe I could ask for another but I ran out of cash, I don't want to appear to be a cheap Aussie and not tip.

Also they are moving from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2. I hope AS can join them but they are sticking in Terminal 1, which makes these SEA-SFO-LAX runs a pain in the neck.

We are currently sitting in the SYD F Lounge and I have to say it is really busy in the terminal and also in the lounge. I promise though that we will persist and survive the experience.

Well, I feel a little better now. I moved into my place and first thing I did of course was check the 'net speed. 1700 kbps. Eeeek!

So what would any self respecting citizen do? I logged onto the router and checked the settings. The MTU was manually set to 1500. I changed it to 1400 as per the ISP's settings and voila, now connecting at closer to 9000 kbps. :D

Its a tough job, but someone has to do it

Just got my first upgrade on QF! W to J on Qf73! :D

Some people have the luck, I just got my first offload ever, thanks Qantas. :(

AA1254 ended up being 2 hours late into LAX so I guess Qantas gave my seat away.

It's rather annoying.

It's getting tougher as we have been sitting on the aircraft for about one hour already whilst we wait for the thunderstorms to clear :!:

They expect about another 30 min yet.

Sometimes we all take short(ish) connections for granted. Hope things sort themselves out for you.
