Quite cool here now too, though earlier the ground could have been on fire it was so hot! Hope it doesn’t rain… though I’m going to be on a train shortly so it doesn’t really matter.

The supercharged GT only got released two months ago, up until then the turbo stole the V8s thunder.

I'm stupid. He has Cobras. I think I got confused because I recall that the original cobra was a derived from the GT or something.
Slow afternoon

The return trip earns 160 SC's. I had not realised that it was now so cheap with the strong AUD.

I don't commute SYD-BNE business class but for a change scenery $748 every couple of weeks would not be a huge outlay. And as serfty mentions book it from AKL and it is ~AUD615.

No big deal. Leave Friday morning and arrive in SYD before noon and then fly back Sunday morning.

Do keep in mind that if working in NZ and getting paid with NZD then you may as well be earning shilling and pence :p

Should be a fun commute home:

Definitely saw ominous clouds gathering when I left the city this afternoon, however when I got home we had a brief heavy bucketing and that was it.

As of now, no rain to be had. To all Brisbanites, depending on where you live or where you are, YMMV :)

I had a little rain around Coomera, while 6-7mm hail stones fell around Beenleigh. Luckily I was on a train so didn’t care too much, and by the time I got to Central it was fine, with a few rain drops arriving an hour later. No weather on the way back.

I woulnd't mind a job that was paying NZD60-70/hour. Getting less than that right now

Only thing that kills it is having to pay tax in Australia and not being able to claim travel and accommodation expenses incurred overseas. It is funny how if a company sends you overseas to work they pay for everything and are able to claim back on tax yet a contractor working overseas cannot claim anything.

No weather on the way back.
Must have encountered some weather along the way. Even no weather is still weather of some sort. ;)

As usual in Brisbane, the storm hit South and West. Heard on ABC Radio as I was coming home (~4.45pm) that there had been hail in Springwood and Logan, with one guy ringing up from the Logan Motorway saying he had lost his windscreen to enormous hailstones and lots of cars off the road.

I don't think I have ever been anywhere in total darkness in the middle of the day.

Anyone able to take some photos of Brisbane and post them here?
