I don't know. Cobol programmes can be quite well paid still.....
Cobol yes. RPG not quite so well. Contract advertised in Auckland for the new year. Now that commute would not be so easy. :p

What is the most interesting subject discussed on this thread? For me the award probably goes to the light bulb/dark suckers one.
Please don't get him started.

Yeah but imagine the SC's from regular J class trips on LAN.:)

That is a good idea.

I have been seriously thinking about it as Brisbane has been getting a little stale. Perhaps I should apply for the job and see the response I get from them. Can't hurt....

I actually looked at the LAN site for a quote on SYD-AKL return in the week that I'm in Brisbane next March and it came back as $748.00,which for business class is pretty good, not sure how many SC's that fare earns (books into I class),when you consider the cost of travelling QF business from SYD-BNE then $748.00 every couple of weeks wouldn't seem too bad, (admittedly the fares will fluctuate)you could always get an apartment in Auckland.

Of course, ex AKL this return fare is USD594 ... today that'll cost you ~AUD615:idea:

This may seem odd coming from a die hard Ford supporter however it was sad news to hear that the father of HSV - Tom Walkinshaw has passed away. While his first creation was a bit if an eye opener, the subsequent models and the need for a ford alternative led to the creation many years later of FPV, for which I am truly grateful, even if my bank manager does not appreciate my longing for a supercharged V8 GT.

Tom RIP, it was always a pleasure to see you in the pits at the V8s, you will be missed!

One day I will do the infamous Tom Price journey. Priceable out on the QF website I will take great pleasure in flying down a dusty road at 60km/hr (or whatever the speed limit is!)
Sadly this was one of my goals but sadly is no longer a QF codeshare.

I am not holding my breath waiting. This thread would make very good material for an air traffic control aptitude test!

But you have to leave AKL at 5.50AM:shock:

A lot of people seem to have a hang up over that timing, coincidently its around the same time as an EK flight leaves BNE for SIN in real time, at 3.35AM!

So now we should expect a flurry of posts, hoping to be the 10k poster… and a flurry of deletions :D

But just hurry up please, I want to go watch TV :p
