Ahh, yes, that would be the simplest solution, however I was curious as to why this is occuring and why just this one thread.

I will unsubscribe and see if I receive any further pingbacks for other threads.

I'm curious as to the wording of the email. I am subscribed to some threads but the wording is of the email is different....Hmm

This is the typical response I get when a user posts to a thread that I am subscribed to (and would assume that all members receive the same):

I have checked back through my deleted emails for the last two months and it has only been for this thread that I receive the pingbacks. Just a bit confused as to why??

Just some spammers have attached themselves to the thread and are adding in some dodgy trackback threads. Look right down the bottom of that Nov thread for the Trackbacks.

Send a quick note to Admin or the other Mod's. They'll sort it out quickly.

when I hadn't seen you around I wondered if you missed your flight the other day

I thought JohnK had just taken up being the quiet, unassuming type :)

was anything open at that ridiculously early hour?
Hard to believe but some shops were starting to starting to open very early.

Got to the airport at 3:00am, checkin was open around 3:30am, bought some duty free, through immigration, collected duty free and waited for the QF lounge to open at 4:30am.

so immigration is opening earlier now than it used to, perhaps LA complaining about lack of time for pax to clear and not allowing them to depart on time?

what time were you through AKL immigration?

Around 4:00am. It apeared to have opened well before then and if I remember correctly when I arrived at the airport at 3:00am checkin was already open for another flight. Don't remember the airline.

In the last month or so Qantas have removed over 4000 weekly trans-tasman seats from their flight schedules.

Hmmm ...
