If you hate codeshares, you'll love this anti-ad.

Two Things:

1. Tony's Tip.

If you have lost three of your front teeth and go ahead to have three implants done at the same time don't have the procedure done under local anesthetic.

2. I have Lion installed and running on my 11" MacBook Air. (Just downloading to my 13" Air) :p

I had a twilight anaesthetic for an impacted wisdom tooth that had to be removed by a maxilo-facial surgeon as it was underneath the gum. Freaking awesome.

Random Question:

How smart are JQ Check in kiosks?

Are they like QF, where I can print off a boarding pass, ever after I do OLCI.

Or are they like DJ, where they won't let you do anything if you have done OLCI, even just reprint a boarding pass.

Flying JQ for the first time in a while soon, usually I OLCI and don't bother to print a boarding pass, and collect one at the nearest check in machine (or use my card if I'm lazy) Don't want to get stuck having to queue up if the kiosk won't let me print one out after I've checked in.

I was just watching this, it really explains plain and simple what Qantas are doing. :/

Robbing Captain 'Wayne' of one gold bar as both him & the FO have 3.

Now why is a Jetconnect hostie wearing the blue ground staff uniform & not the silver one worn by F/A's?

Don't JQ have a mobile/smartphone checkin app? That way you don't need to print out anything just to directly to the boarding gate, assuming you have no luggage to checkin of course.

If you're talking about your upcoming JQi flight to the F lounge, there's only one way to check-in and that's at the counter.

Interesting "advert". I've had 4 Jetconnect flights recently, and was thinking of this when I flew. I'm sure on one plane, I still heard the "spirit of Australia" spiel.

The whole Jetconnect "low cost staff" concept isn't new, but yep I doubt many passengers know or realise.

A point that I'm sure is not lost on management - the punters don't even know. Whereas the 4 digit "QF" flights numbers beginning with 5 are a different kettle of fish as people expect they're flying QF only to find out it's JQ.

Mind you it's not necessarily a codeshare situation as plenty people book on the QF website & select a JQ flight but are seemingly still unaware that they've chosen a JQ flight then when they find out at the airport always say a) "but I booked it on on the Qantas website" or b) "but it's a Qantas itinerary."

No, I'm flying JQ out of OOL next week too. Couldn't be bothered driving up to BNE at OMG O'Clock

They are not smart-I have to queue up or go to lounge If I have done OLCI(or used the JQ check in now feature when booking) and dont have the print out.

Well lion killed our file servers at work yesterday. Couldn't get onto my network drives. A coupe of hours later IT email, telling everyone who is logged in from a Mac with lion to disconnect. Network drives were back shortly after that.

Did they offer a reason why the file servers got "killed"?

Being a dumb user I'm not sure.* But apparently there will be a patch applied and macs will be good next week.

* Killed was the technical term for stopped them working as designed.

Went to the Mackay Wine and Food fair today. Was told it was the one event in Mackay worth going to.
There is nothing in Mackay worth going to!

Totally exhausted this morning after my hectic night of sport.First watched the wallabies tear through the springboks with coverage ending at 2200 just as the SBS coverage of Le Tour started.I have been a fan of the coverage ever since I began watching in 2007.I was dreading the outcome and it was an immense relief to see Cadel in the ride of his life-a truly remarkable accomplishment.

Wow just wow, Australian Cadel Evans leading the Tour De France, and to think I was walking down the Champs Elysees last month and remember thinking I seen this on TV, the end location for the Tour De France.

Even better than leading the TdF. Cadel has won it, as the last stage is not contested, except for the green jersey.
