Looking for the right thread but I am convinced that some Qantas staff go out of their way to assist.

I believe status has something to do with it. Ask nicely and you may receive....

Good to see they used their initiative and called the feds - rather than be stuck the_whole_flight with them like I have before......

Why dat? Did the flight GUM/CNS take a wrong turn?

Apparently its been here for a few weeks, since Talisman Sabre, even did a hop to DRW, I wonder if CO/UA miss it. Noticed the USN F18s are still in TSV, so no doubt its related, although the Combat Talon has gone. And the Roulettes are in CNS, so its all happening.

I wonder how the Roulettes show will go as they have had very limited practise with the PC9s grounded for 2 months.

Well it was a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon and as I headed off for my regular walk I had no idea what horrendous sight I was about to see. I walked near the local pub, a little bit rough but a good crowd and they have a live and let live credo.

Anyway it was a bit nippy as it often is on a Canberra afternoon even though the sun was shining. Why is this relevant dear reader? Well keep reading and you will find out why I was glad it was still a bit nippy.

As I walked along the road I saw a crowd in the car park, and heard a bit of friendly type noise and carry on. Then I saw it. Well both of them really if the truth be known. Two big fat and flabby hairy butt cheeks. They were as white as pure snow and wobbling furiously. Their owner (I couldn’t possibly say proud owner could I?) was looking a bit nervous but this was the price to pay for losing a bet. A quick run in the nuddy around the pub.

The crowd was enjoying the show, (well maybe, this spectacle was a sight that only a mother could love and I reckon even she would reconsider her maternal love) and spurring their mates on. Anyway off he went on his bet settler and the crowd start wondering where their other mate was.

Wait, here he comes with Mrs Palmer covering his manhood. I really hope he had a severe case of shrinkage given the weather and his embarrassment. If not he was seriously deprived. I say this because Mrs Palmer didn’t have much to cover, the daughters weren’t needed if you get my drift. Fortunately for my abused eyes there wasn’t the flab his mate displayed.

But wait it gets worse, here comes the original Michelin man in his prime. A large naked man running is not something that will easily be erased from my memory, especially since I am teetotal. If ever there was a case for drinking this was it.

Anyway dear reader, back to regular reading, that was the end  figuratively speaking of my eventful walk yesterday afternoon. I just hope I never sit next to the original runner on a plane.

Verandah over the toyshop?  ;)

Thanks for the advice but there in lies the problem. I only have mobile broadband and to get all the updates in the past 12 months is going to kill my usage and plus I do not think mobile broadband could handle it anyway.
May be quicker and cheaper to check-in to a hotel that has free internet access ;).

My hotel room this week has faster internet than I get from my ADSL2+ at home.

Have you just arrived home from a long day at the office? About time we were in bed (even considering the time zones):D

Nah, been on-line working from my hotel room. Let the office around 5:30pm, then had a conference call at 6pm, then a quick trip to the Welcome supermarket for some supplies/dinner, then back to work in the room.

Ah, well I'll have to get some sleep then. Was relaying the "Nelly Mobbs" story to the MaM crowd tonight in PER.

They still looked pretty good in practice about a week ago when I saw them. They did have quite a critical audience too with several former COs of CFS and a few others who are now senior officers watching on.

The things you hear, two CBR based AFFers were in the toilet at Chicago and after spotting FT tags on one of their bags each realised who the other was and that they knew each other. :p

No names but they'll know who I am talking about.

LOL!

I have found a permanent temporary solution to my issue. Only reboot my laptop on arrival into Brisbane and then back in Sydney. ;)

Ahem; the toilet in the Flagship lounge thank you very much!

Oh, did I just give myself away? :D
