It just screams incompetence. How any of them could have thought "I'd be okay with this" is beyond me. Knowing that DJ were going to come sooner or later too.

I guess the bean counters got their way...now it's going to cost QF more when (if) they refit haha. Foolish decisions deserve to be costly.

I mean, I knew it was bad but I couldn't quite believe it when I walked on board.

The Y product is top notch though. Even when the short man in front of me reclined his seat all the way back, I was not inconvenienced in the knees, despite almost touching the seat in front before hand. Impressive seats.

It's the first time I've flown the new A332s, I would be less than impressed paying for J and getting the middle seat...what on earth were they thinking when they approved that.

They had, and were going to continue having, a monopoly on the domestic business class market.

(Note that given the lead time on seat selection for aircraft, the decision would have been made a long time before the aircraft arrived)

In any case, once DJ introduced their Business class, I believe Qantas stopped selling the middle seat on these flights.:idea:

Won't be that easy - look at their formline

Formline? Am I missing something? Apart from the last 2 weeks they have not beaten anyone of note.

They only just scraped through against the Cowboys at home in Round 26, lost to the Dragons in round 25, and lost to Brisbane in round 22 which were all final 8 teams.

People forget that they were beaten by Brisbane 40-10 just on 2 weeks ago and were almost out of the finals race and they scraped through against Wests and then beat Storm and all of a sudden they are going to win the grand final.

Manly on the other hand could not have been more impressive after the first 3-4 games of the season. They smashed the Cowboys 42-8 and the performance against Brisbane on Friday night to win 26-14 is what Grand finals are made of. And let's not forget hammering Storm 18-4 in that famous game.

Perhaps I am one eyed but if Warriors win the grand final next week it will be one of the greatest upsets in history and of the greatest injustices as well. And yes upsets do happen but I hope for history sake one does not happen here. Love or hate Manly....

I had carry-on only on Friday night but the lady in front me at check-in had checked luggage and she was asked if she wanted to go on earlier BNE-MEL flight.

So far the signs are encouraging.

Oh, there was a 3 minute news story on this one 7 in Perth tonight. It was a joke, complete smear and nothing else.

Mind you QF don't help themselves at all. They need to fix up their media relations department.

Pilot wouldn't comment on operational procedures and happenings.
QF Media deliver 7 with a comment regarding Pilot's industrial action possibly being related.

I don't like the pilot's pre-descent whinging at all but that response from QF is just all kinds of stupid.

Don't worry, NZ were ordinary first few weeks as well ... and didn't the Broncos defeat manly (with Lockyer) 18-10 just 3 weeks ago?

I thought I was up late, and then reading a post from Serfty with a time stamp of 12:59am. :shock:

Manly will go in as favourites but I think New Zealand Warriors can win if they set their minds to it. New Zealand Warriors have certainly come good at the right time.

You asked me to look at the formline. That formline tells me nothing special. I neglected to mention the other games they only scraped in as well.

And Manly were without Stewart, Stewart, Foran and Luczic all suspended from the game against the Storm.

It was actually after these 2 games that I believed Manly had a decent chance to beat the Storm in the grand final. Well the Storm are not in the grand final. Tigers would have been a different proposition.

Who wins? Time will tell....

Currently it's 1:31am and i am on the overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai and my motorbike is somewhere on the goods carriage.

Even so, I struggle to see why the pilots would have even been involved with telling 7. I can't prove it, but it seems to me to have been driven by a passenger on board. I also agree, that the response from QF media was a bit strange.

The First Test starts on 1 December at The Gabba - AUST v NZ. I think it's only a 2 Test series, followed by 3 against India.

You'll find me at The Gabba for the first 3 days of the Test, as usual.
