I'm looking at booking a hotel at STN for the night before I fly out (6.50am flight). I can't believe how cheap it is..35 quid for HIX, 50 for Hilton.

Heavens!

When I'm out and about I rarely have a conversation longer than 3-4 minutes and make a point of keeping it quiet. Anything longer than that should be either dealt with in person or when you're at the office/home.

I'm not sure if you remember or not, but you called me from within the Chairman's Lounge.

In AKL on saturday a German lass was skyping.Went on for 2 hours.Someone would come and sit at the next table and within 5 minutes would move.I think most were thoroughly fed up with her.I seriously considered going and standing behind her giving the thumbs down.

Well, it seems roam express charged my credit card twice the other day (two different, small amounts).

Unusual given i live in brisbane, have no roam account, and havent travelled on their toll roads which are in Sydney. And i've never given them this particualr card's details.

Called Roam (as originally instructed by my back) and they cant solve it unless i send them (by email!) my credit card statement. Which clearly i'm not going to do!

Result: Five minute call to bank, credit card cancelled to be reissued. Investigation ongoing - up to 45 days.

Fortuantely the card that I cancelled doesnt have any auto-debits on it.

I got this happen to me once as well.

What I was told it was from a hire car and the rego number was linked to my CC.

I cancelled my link with my cc and the hire car.

Went and saw Jersey Boys on Saturday night booked through Qantas Box Office so got double points for the ticket as well as points from the Amex.

Got a magnificent seat, close to the front in the centre. Couldn't have picked better if I had chosen it myself. Quite enjoyed the show as well.

It was a full theatre and of course the woman sitting near me was one of those people who had the one second cognition delay which meant her reactions were out of synch with everyone else. Quite annoying but what can you do?

Flight up on the DJ ATR, got a seat in the back row and was glad of it so I could get off very quickly. I think this is the most uncomfortable airline seat I have ever sat in, and I include the CX Y sliding seat in this statement.

I don't expect a Y seat to be comfortable, but tolerable would be nice. This seat seemed to be deliberately contoured to make life miserable. I would seriously consider not flying on DJ if this was the plane du jour.

For short haul (i.e. CBR-SYD return) I like prop planes and my trip home on the QF Dash 8 was fine, indeed it has more leg room than the jets.

I wonder if that might be it as that cc I use for hire car rental.

Maybe another reason to be annoyedbat Hertz.

Now to wait and seevwhatbth bank says (in 45 days).

I found out it was my fault because when i sent up the account with my cc i didn't put an expiry on when I was handing back the hire car.

I wasn't told about that!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say something now but I am afraid Flashware is going to call me a whinger. ;)
