Sitting in the executive lounge at Hua Hin Hilton with some lovely views of the bay and surrounds.

Have managed 5 games of golf in 5 days since arriving from SIN DO and walked for 3 of those games and another 9 holes today. Hopefully another 4 games next week before returning to reality.

P.S I struggle to understand why some people rave on about certain business class products. The SQ A380 business class product is really nothing more than a bench seat and actually feels like sitting one as well. Just as well it did not cost me very much otherwise I would be extremely disappointed....

markis10, I went through pretty much every code on that list and got "not valid, does not apply or already registered":!:

Woo Hoo.

My business upgrade for SIN-SYD tomorrow has gone through and I'm now sitting in 1A.

Nothing at this time for my sister or nephew but there is still 25 hours before the flight and a few business seats still available.

I just realised, I reckon I bloke I went to school with is building a resort or golf course at/near Hua Hin. He's a keen golfer, caddies on the Asia pro tour or something.

And I am literally just home from the SIN DO after a few days in BKK.

Got off the Jet* flight and walked to the MEL domestic J lounge. Asked if I could have an earlier flight back to CBR, the lovely lady asked if I had any check in luggage, answer no, there is a flight leaving now if you want. Yes please, and straight to the plane and boarded. Now home thanks to the QF staff.

If I had 50K i could think of better toys to buy but still is very awesome.

Managed to get along to Bookfest today in BNE, after a years hiatus, 50 novels + a couple of kids DVDs for Markis10JR for $10 all up, bargain! Will be making inroads on a few this week since I am on leave and heading to the Hunter and Sydney for some gourmet treats, as well as once again working on the mini bar at the IC!

So happy Chinese/Lunar new year tomorrow to my fellow AFFers.

May the year of the dragon be good to us all.

Calling out to the IT help desk again. Any experience with a Samsung windows phone out there? Wife got given one, I have no idea what model. I tried connecting to the home wifi tonight, but it just keeps searching for a network. This expected as I don't broadcast the SSID. However, I could find no way to tell the phone the network name, it just keeps searching (did I say that). Anyone know how to make it let me enter the network name?

If it's Windows Phone 7, I don't think you can (it's supposed to be an added feature in Mango)

If it is 7.5 Mango, then there should be a way :)

Pretty sure it's WIN 7. How stupid is that, then! But it also isn't picking up the neighbours wifi, maybe the phone is just useless. Anyway, it's a work phone that my BiL had for 3 or 4 days that he's past onto his sister. Can't complain too much.

I've got a Samsung Omnia 7 Somewhere, loved the UI but it just wasn't ready to be used as a smartphone yet IMO. Went back to iPhone.

For instance, I had to provide a certificate to connect all Exchange Email Accounts, no manual override. Grrrrr

I actually went to a Window 7 mango launch and it still being perfected and the WIFI part of it was something that wasn't able to work properly.

On the prototype I saw it had it WIFI but it crashed every other moment so that is part of the reason why it is not on the production models.

Powerful integration on some levels but nothing totally remarkable either.

I used to think I was a man. But when I was flicking through foxtel and realised "Grease" was on and got excited I knew it was all over.

I no longer value my masculinity.

Yep that's it. Omnia 7, just got SWMBO to check. It's not an Iphone so I can't remember minor details like the name.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

Good to see Qantas taking care of you. Sitting in the Conrad Executive Lounge now and still another 5 days before I return to reality.
