I'm frightened to look at the weather for the area around ABX,last time I checked there was a fire 30km's from Dartmouth which is only 20km's from where I now live in Eskdale,have no idea which direction the fire is heading in and to be honest don't really want to know,I'm sure if it was bad my neighbour would have rung me on sent a text .even so I wouldn't mind if it kept raining here in Brisbane,would give me an excuse to stay a few extra days in this beaut hotel.

The flight info display says boarding for my flight at 20:05 but the person behind the desk says we're waiting on the pilots who aren't due in until about 20:25! Lovely!

Just did online seat selection for my QF 513 flight tomorrow,requested seat 34K which is an exit row and got it,not bad for a red e deal
and a lowly silver frequent flier,lets see whether I actually get it or whether it's reassigned when I get to the airport.

Something to be said for routine.

Every weekday morning, I have taken our younger dog for a walk first (she's a 5 yo greyhound cross and needs a much longer walk). Our older dog (~12) is happy with a short walk around the block to sniff who's been around.

I departed from routine today as for both of the previous two days the older dog hasn't been walked as I gave been saturated after the first walk with the younger dog.

So to make it up to the older dog I took her first today. My wife sent me these pictures (and comments) of the youngest dog:

She didn't move from the step to the front door for the 20 mins I was out with the older dog. She's now enjoying a lengthy walk as well, given we are off to see friends on the Gold Coast today
