I've had a Japanese kenji tattoo for over 10 years which was a kind of sayonara to SYD thing & friends always joke that it means "open other end" or "this way up".

Does one dare ask where this kenji is tattooed?

I would like to apologise to anyone on my flight.

Original boarding at 18:35.... then 18:45.... then 18:55.... now 19:05.... who knows when it will board.... the only flight I have noticed with delays.... Good to see the new year has not changed anything for me....

So going by the QF website you must've be on QF555 which departed at 1923 instead of 1855 but arrived in SYD at 2154 instead of 2130. Is that really the end of the world? :-|

I've been on flights that have pushed back on time from the gate but due to waiting for inbound traffic to land plus a long taxi eg in SYD taking off from RW34 R have arrived in BNE with a delay of more than 24 mins.

Would you have felt better if you were on QF553 instead which only departed 5 mins late at 1830? Trouble is that it arrived 30 mins late at 2130. I'm guessing the delay was possibly SYD ATC.

My idea of heaven. I would put my flight on facebook along with a pic of me drooling on my shirt. And keep drooling on my shirt during boarding. I think I'd go for the middle seat in the hope of my drooling producing both a vacant window and aisle.

The delay means nothing. You know that though. It is just that it happens to me more often than not. And the same goes for horses, poker machines, shares etc etc. No, not only delays but, simply bad luck. It never stops. But I do not expect people to understand so I have learned to live with it otherwise I would lose my sanity.

Not the end of the world but don't you think Qantas owes me a year or 2 of on time flights?

P.S. How many flights were delayed out of BNE between 17:52 and 19:23 Friday night? And for what it is worth the 17:11 airtrain got to BNE domestic at 17:52. Not bad for a 23 minute journey. My post was a joke but just quietly this nightmare cuts right through me....

Just checking on my flight today on the BNE airport site and noted that with the Virgin flights from LST,HBA and CNS those on the VA codeshare arrive a few minutes later than those flying with a DJ flight number.
Hmm I can just see it now-Virgin FAs equipped with whips-those of you flying the VA codeshare vill not get off de plane until I say so!

Yes, very sad A shadow of her former self towards the end but she did have a beautiful voice at the height of her career.

How about QF548 today? Due to depart at 7:05, all boarded by 7:00pm, waited at gate until 7:17pm, then waited some more after pushback, went around in circles or figure 8's somewhere along the way, landed at 8:05pm instead of 7:35pm, then waited some more and finally go to stand off gate at 8:22pm some 47 minutes late.

Not the end of the world but instead of getting into my apartment at ~8:30pm to relax I got here after 9:30pm extremely agitated and very very tired.
