I'm in one of those moods. You all know what I'm talking about.

The well known and often feared "should I take my bank account from decrepit to clinically dead just to book more flights" mood.

I have the same mood. Do I cancel my Y QF flights to Europe, chip in an extra $5500 and take the BA leg up option. SWMBO has said it is up to me. Which is code for I have given you my answer.

Hehe! It's a good deal. As are the F SCs :)

I'm only worrying about $2500 here. ("Only"...)

The question really is, even if I decide to part with more cash, how long can I keep it quiet for . Because if those who matter find out, I may as well dig my own grave!

But, then again, what's a trip or two to Abu Dhabi between family?

I just got an email from a relative

They just forked out over $3000 for FCO-CDG o/w on AF, 2A+3C

And I think I had problems

I'm guessing that's for 2 people. That's usually about what I pay CDG-CKY (much further flight) in J on AF ($3K) for 1 person, so would hope so:!:

The problem was that I had initially posted it in the wrong Forum, so I cut and pasted into this one. Interestingly it showed okay for me, but not to JohnK and others?

Just went in and re-submitted the picture via the Advanced Options. Hey presto

Do you mean that her answer is no however you are free to go against her but do so at your own peril???

It should be said that anything you do or say could be us as evidence against you.

AUD5,500.00 does seem rather a lot of coin. Would it be any cheaper to upgrade only the Asia/LHR/Asia sectors & slum it in whY or PE ADL/SIN/ADL?

I believe that is the situation. I'm free to make my own choice as long as it is the correct choice. ;)

I've currently got SYD-LHR-GLA return in Y(S) for $3500. With BA I can get J and F SYD-LHR-SYD and Y LHR-GLA rtn for $8800. So the price difference buys a few jumps in cabin on the long legs.

Bit of a PR turned "news" piece, but still interesting.

Tattoos lose their hip status as Queenslanders flock to have them removed | Reviews and Recommendations | The Courier-Mail

Thousands of Queenslanders are flocking to laser clinics in a bid to erase unwanted body art, including many who've had their ex-lover's name inscribed on their skin.

Brisbane cosmetic medicine practitioner Dr Mary Dingley has worked in the tattoo removal industry for more than 25 years and said it's the busiest she's seen it.

"Tattoo removal has definitely been on the increase in the last few years," she said. "It's been increasing by about 10 to 20 per cent in the last year."

Who would have thought that tattoo removal would need to be so popular at the moment...:shock:

Looking at the story,

It was a good idea at the time.

And also why would anyone put there partners name on themselves, Kids names are fine.

If you do get your partners name Tattoo on to yourself make sure it is a common name so if you do break up you can hopefully hook up with someone of the same name.

Where the SWMBO is involved you know there is no right answer. :-|

I seem to recall that you aren't very technically minded, lucky you have your day job saving Australians from the GFC.;):idea:

My hook takes the water out of play!
:oops::lol:
The massive gravitational pull from any volume of water larger than a 5 litre bucket is sufficient to "compensate" for my natural hook .

And the massive gravitational pull from the Earth is sufficient to ensure my golf balls never achieve an altitude greater than can be measured with a wooden ruler (think primary school tidy-box size), so any thought of crossing an expanse of water greater than a puddle made by the shoe print of the person in front of me is impossible.

Now, to ensure this thread remains OT, did I ever expain my "theory of gravity"?

Hey Simo you could always get a tattoo that says "I love SWMBO" as that would cover all bases ie nil expiry date! :p

I've had a Japanese kenji tattoo for over 10 years which was a kind of sayonara to SYD thing & friends always joke that it means "open other end" or "this way up". :D

No regrets!

I once did the Barnes Wallis trick at Mollymook with my ball ending up on the green-I can still recall it as if it was yesterday-not 45 years ago!
