I found the ditching simulator to be fun for new crewmen, the number of people who try and get out immediately after the inversion the first time is close to 100%.

What is the process supposed to be?

I believe WP's are not entitled to F dining at all. The dragon here did actually say 'unfortunately your status is not sufficient to join us in the F dining room, that's only available to Club and First pax'.

I've heard mixed reports about obtaining dining passes for T3. As I will be there in only a few hours, anyone got any tips on how to snag one? I don't really feel like dining out in the terminal (and I only have a £20 left).

We were in the T3 Flounge in January traveling on BA metal, BA ticket, in F. After watching many, many QF (easy to spot) OWE being knocked back at the dining room we decided we would have something to eat.

We were knocked back as we were not holding invitation cards...showed the bloke the F BP's but they still sent me back to the desk to get written invites.....upon entering, he wanted our party of 5 to sit at three separate tables even though the place was empty:confused:

IMO terrible way to service passengers & the food was pretty poor & not worth the hassle.

IIRC, only F passengers get to see inside this C grade dining room.

Finished overnight ED shift at 0830, cab direct from hospital (armed with coffee!) 0900, Rex flight ("sweet or savoury?") 1020. Landed in Sydney on time, headed upstairs to the brilliant Virgin Premium entry for no-queue security and checkin....

"Oh, sorry madam, you no longer have your seat selection..."

Start steaming inside head... I need sleep and it took 15 minutes on hold to get my seat reserved FFS!

"....because it looks like you have been upgraded."

Oooohhhh YEAH! Got the "catering not assured" disclaimer but then they followed up with "but it should be fine as it's not that busy".

I'm sorry, Qantas, I REALLY want to be loyal but Virgin are winning me in so many ways now! :-D

I have found you can order the food from the dining area you just can't sit in the dining area.

Weird system, could you think how that could work in the Sydney F lounge, it wouldn't.

Well you can eat wherever you like in the SYD F lounge, but it's pretty slack of BA to limit things like this.

I wonder how many BA Golds pass through SYD and how they'd feel about not being able to get a seat ;)

Well started work again today. New position, new project, new scope, new office, new computer, new chair........

I haven't had an office to myself for Heaven knows how long; quite a luxury when you consider where I've come from.

Problem is.... it feels so dull! Of course when you get to a new office there isn't much - just a table, chair, computer, monitor, bookshelf, landline phone, bins and I think that's just about it. I've started to move a couple of things in (the essential hardware), install a couple of things on my new computer... but the place still feels dull. It doesn't feel like I could be productive here without a bit of appeal.

I don't have a window which looks out to the world - just the rest of the inside of the building.

Anyone have any novel ideas of what makes your office feel more... human?

A full sized autographed photograph of myself does it for me! :p

Another day in Blighty and the drought continues, currently the drought is pouring from the heavens.

Police urge motorists not to leave valuables in their car...in other news an unmarked WRX police car was stolen today in Brisbane with two service pistols left in the car.

Taking lessons from SAPOL? Who had a series of theft of evidence briefs and such from their cars.

I find a plant helps make something more personable. Oh, and print out some of those motivational (or stupid motivational - whatever tickles your fancy) posters and stick them up.

Just don't do what I've done ... Took a photo of my old river view and stuck it up ;)
